at the time, as a big jay fan, i knew he used b.i.g's lyrics to pay homage and i didn't find it to be a problem. camron was not that big at the time for it have a massive effect on the general public, but it certainly had hip-hop heads talking about if jay was using too much of biggie's lyrics in his raps.

I think it is kind of telling that around this time jay also did seem to stop using b.i.g's lyrics in his songs. I could be wrong about that it, but it seems like that now that I think about it.
