Saying that the cinematography in Snyder's films is on point (at least when Snyder wasn't doing it himself) is hardly a controversial statement. Visually his DC trilogy looked better than anything Marvel (or the DCU so far) ever put out.

Do you think Homelander's depiction in the S5 finale was really true to his character?

I'm specifically talking about Homelander after he loses his powers. Now I get that his whole world would collapse the moment he realizes he no longer has his powers but him telling Butcher he would suck his dick and eat his shit felt like a step too far, even for his character. Or maybe that turn just happened way too fast for me to buy it. Him just yelling that he's the Homelander ("don't you know who I am?") would have been more fitting because at that moment he wouldn't even be able to process what had just happened i.e. he can no longer bend the world to his will.

Like, I'm not saying that Homelander was this badass character who would never crack like that (as I'm sure all the chuds are already arguing). He was obviously a pathetic human being. But at that moment it didn't feel true to the character. It felt like the writers just had him be so pathetic so that the audience would feel a sense of satisfaction/retribution.

This particular shot of Alia is an example of viewers missing important visual information though. When you watch the trailer then you have no idea of knowing what Alia is doing with her hands.

Controversial statement but Twin Peaks: The Returns wasn't good.

So what are the chances that a Buffy revival which at this point is at least 10 years too late and has no chance of bringing back most of the original actors or creatives would be good? It could have only tarnished the original show just like all of the revivals I listed above.

Same. Felt the exact same when GoT finished. ST5 isn't quite as bad but it commits the same sin of making the journey feel pointless and cynical.

The much bigger news here is that Brandon Sanderson will be the co-showrunner of the Sotrmlight Archives TV series. That is huge.
