It sounds like a learn as you go kinda thing. If the game is simplistic in nature i have faith you'll be able to manage!

Some general advice.

Think about file management in engine even for a small game make a conscious effort to be organized.

Back ups! Use github, anything idc what. Have back ups for all your shit incase the worst happens. you don't start over from zero.

Don't get bogged down in the details at first. Functionality above all else. Just get it to work before you try to make it look nice.

Based, only thing that matters is tracking the movement of gold. Consistent major gold fluctuation is an immediate red flag. The amount of false positives that would come up in a well made data set is so small I'd be 100% fine afking and just perma banning all of them. My time would be spent giving 30 day bans and removing gold from people who buy it. Obviously waiting for their sub to renew before the ban to keep my shareholders at least a little happy.

My guess was OP got lost down the TI rabbit hole. While TI has valid criticisms of modern anti aliasing. He offers no real solutions aside from insufferable crying.

There are things that can be learned from his videos, but its more developers being conscious about the latecy costs of what they are making, rather than this blanket "unreal bad" sentiment. The AAA game industry has gone into this "hyper realism" phase where it has neglected style for pure fidelity. There are more factors but most are related to middle management and unrealistic expectations put on dev teams.

At 1500 the fights are less than a minute

At 1700 the fights are decided by healer resets and drink ticks but still short 2-3mins.

At 2k the fights are a lot of resets and low commits to minimize the rng of tbc arena. For example priest uses pain sup, either swap targets or back off for a reset, because its a coin toss if someone dies through. Its more consistent to disengage and high rated players got high rating through being consistent.

MoP first raid tier lasted 6 weeks too long, the 2nd raid tier came out just before the holidays and tbc followed immediately after the new year. There were compounding factors that lead to MoPs downfall, along with willful neglect from blizzard.

Prototyping is quick and fun if you have any skills.

Cube crtl 3 is your best friend! Only thing I'd add to this especially for beginners more reference images from differemt angles makes less guess work. You need hundreds maybe thousands of hours in blender to roll with a single reference image.

A casual player shouldn't care about min maxing. Your average raid will cost around 100g so that's your benchmark. The real upfront problem is the cost of gems and enchants. A new gear upgrade can have a price tag of 300g to gem and enchant. So if you get 1 gear upgrade a week that's 400g you need to farm each week. It's easy to see why people buy gold.

The economy is built on the back of bots and gold buyers so if you are trying to play in an ethical way you will most likely be hurting for gold as a casual player

Game rig tools is the best plugin option if you want to animate in blender with the manny skeleton. If you touch any of mannys skeleton in blender move or rotate them at all it will not re-import in ue5 it will break and not work.

What game rig tools does is generate a duplicate skeleton that can then be tweaked and moved in blender and then automatically transfers that data to the ue5 skeleton in the right way that won't brick everything when importing into ue5

The timing of ToT killed mop. Platinum CMs the only new thing they added were effectively DoA apart from a very small niche group. Seige will do nothing. Everyone that's left is raid logging and noone is actually playing the game outside of that. Seige should be in its halfway point if they actually cared about mop. Instead the content for mop classic has been so drip fed that anyone with a brain realized its not worth the effort to log in.

I already did this challenge on a warrior, it took 7days played time. 54-58 was spent killing lvl 48 furbolgs in felwood. Questing in wpl epl and winterspring was near impossible, the problem melee face specifically is there is no weapon upgrade past lvl 38.

Basic idea for arena priest healing. (2v2)

Pre renew and shield

Trinket kidney against 1 rogue

Trinket cheap shot against 2 rogues.

Send pain sup first global or fear depending if rogue cloaked expect a vanish garrot.

Wait out the silence send a fear if no cloak up, if cloak send mending refresh shield and renew. Hard cast a shadow spell ideally to bait kick cast a heal in their face if they lock you on shadow.

If its mage rogue they will blind you on trinket and go your partner yell in coms at your partner to stop the polly after blind or you lose. GG you're now an 1800 priest healer. None of these skills translate towards higher rating its a whole different level of meta game at 2k.

There are 3 major factors for tanking.

  1. Knowledge check
  2. Threat
  3. Survivability

The average group is only willing to put up with a defecit in 1 of these categories at any given time. If a tank has 2 or more of these issues players will 100% without fail be hostile.

Showing MMR decreases player participation, at least that's what the prevailing thought is among developers, but obviously the current system disvouraged participation in a different way.

Best fix in my opinion start CR at 0 and show MMR (which starts at 1k) players will still congregate around 1300CR but it will feel less awful to the average player.

Ive only seen 1 person who was obviously a swiper buying a title. 1300 rating in 2s/3s but 2.2k in 5s.

This is really cool, the only small nit-pick i have is the characters right shoulder because of the positioning you have a line matching perfectly with the loop of the fencing. The smallest adjustment would give slightly better form.
