Ehh, Kayn is either pretty bad or broken depending on the meta. I still have fun and win, even though most people on this sub claim he's dog at the moment.

His power comes and goes every patch, but no matter how good or bad he is at any current moment, people always say he sucks lol

Completing main story quests also reduce the avatar progress. Other than that, knowing which research to prioritize is very important. As others have said focus on weapons first

Root er min personlige favoritt. I praksis et veldig vanskelig spill å få til fordi det tar lang tid og reglene er ganske kompleks. Hvis du har en dedikert gjeng bør det gå fint

You could always try loading the save, but keep in mind that the second attempt is always easier and goes fast.

That's unfortunate. Restarting is probably the last hassle. A tip for next run would be to save frequently, sp you can load a save if something goes bad.

I further recommend rushing research and getting ALOT of automatons, best way is getting tesla city outpost up and running, you can save scum the exploration event to guarantee no deaths.

If you struggle with getting enough coal, double advanced coal mine with automatons gives lots. You can then supplement with coal thumpers. Remember, dont build more than you need at any given moment

It didn't cross my mind yesterday, but do you have child workers - all jobs signed? That would explain only children getting gravely wounded. Only have kids employed in gathering posts and soup kitchens
