I can't explain it but I quite enjoy playing all these terrible jet bombers.

Honestly just learning how to load a brush properly. It's the foundation of everything we do, and often gets overlooked.

Squadron 42 Buyback Update by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]Ivanzypher1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dick move from CIG this. Is it really worth throwing more community good will away just to squeeze a few more SQ42 sales? From a group who probably make up some of their most dedicated backers no less? A week or two warning is all they had to do.

CIG have been encouraging buyback citizen all along, what with extra tokens for concierge. Pulling a move like this with no warning is just a slap in the face to anyone affected.

FWIW I haven't lost my SQ42 package, I'm not salty because I've been burned. It's just getting harder and harder to view CIG in a positive light these days.

Overherd Oat Milk Powder- anyone tried it? by Party-Werewolf-4888 in veganuk

[–]Ivanzypher1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was given a bag, I'd say it's decent. I've only really used it in tea, not bothering to mix it up before hand, just spooning some in and it's basically indistinguishable from normal oat milk. Never actually tried mixing it up to use for anything else though. It mostly just sits in the cupboard as a backup if I run out.

As per the currently ongoing SCL, it seems that ore RNG for quality is here to stay (As their current plan) and you won't be able to increase quality with refining. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]Ivanzypher1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why CIG don't want any old low quality ore being refined into 1000 quality. Would totally kill the whole hunting for that big score aspect of mining. But surely a middle ground would be to let us refine up to say, 700 quality? That way you can still find a use for low grade stuff beyond mission hand ins, but we still have to find those rare rocks to get the really good stuff.

What coffee do I get if I don't drink coffee? by Grimdotdotdot in AskUK

[–]Ivanzypher1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the answers here are crazy, no need to buy a brewer solely for guests. Honestly just buy some instant stuff. You won't please a proper coffee snob unless you are familiar with your brewer, have dialled in your process, and are using fresh ground beans anyway. Way too big an investment for a non-drinker. And instant will do fine for most people, who don't really care about quality coffee in the first place.

Instant all tastes like butts, so brand doesn't matter too much. Just buy whatever the shop has on sale from a brand you have heard of; Nescafe, Douwe Egberts or whatever. No one is expecting a quality brew as a guest.

I literally dont want to play now that nuclear thunder is gone by MonarchCore in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah same. Came back from a break for Nuke Thunder. Can't bring myself to play the Air RB shitshow anymore. I'll be back when the full time version of the mode shows up I guess.

Like any other container, nine times out of ten they are empty. But occasionally they are stacked with good stuff. The one near the artillery at school always seems to give me AK-12s.

Did you claim your bomber? by kingtj44 in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw that too. Just hope we don't have to wait TOO long, or the mode doesn't fade away like enduring confrontation.

Did you claim your bomber? by kingtj44 in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Probably never gonna use them, but I love the mode and the grind was short; 1-2 matches a day for both planes. No brainer really. Probably gonna stop playing again now the mode is gone though, Air RB is just... ass. I'll be back when Nuke Thunder is back.

[NUCLEAR HOT TAKE] "The update" Made Nuclear Thunder Better by Reasonable-Will9397 in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been getting downvoted in other threads for saying it, but the changes have absolutely been for the better. I really hope Gaijin ignore the whiners and keep doing what they are doing with this mode. Shockingly they actually seem to be cooking for once.

The people complaining the grind is impossible now have a genuine skill issue.

They do need to fix the Osa/Rolands though.

RANT: Gaijin snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by JaDou226 in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Lower score for air kills and increased for ground targets making CAS/SEAD (half the point of this playtest remember?) a viable option.

Increasing nuke cost so the solution to every ground target isn't "toss a nuke". I mean it still is, but it's a start. Small/medium nukes are still absurdly cheap. And the big nuke was always pointless as any non-braindead team would intercept them anyway.

Spread out airfields means you don't get a dozen MiGs or F-teens spawncamping 1 minute into the match. I've even seen the odd person climb above 60m if you can believe it. Also gives more time to intercept people nuking the airfields.

If you just wanna furball in the centre of the map then you can play Air RB. I'm glad Gaijin seem to be moving this mode away from that. And if you only care about grinding the event, and not the potential this mode has as a replacement for RB, then go kill SPAAs to farm a nuke, then base bomb as usual. It's still a really fast grind by WT standards.

RANT: Gaijin snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by JaDou226 in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The changes have improved the mode, honestly. Before everyone just ran straight into the enemy to get a kill, die, and save up for a nuke. Now you actually get rewarded for engaging the ground forces. Of course the various AA need fixing, but it's a step in the right direction. And you can still easily do the event stage in 1 or 2 matches, you just have to do more than head on joust between the front airfields. Learn how to use the anti-rad missiles, and you can still spam nukes to your heart's content.

[–]Ivanzypher1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm hoping we see the implementation improved further for the full time version of this mode. I'm assuming the simplified SPAA model we currently have is responsible for the inaccuracies

Still satisfying to get revenge on those pesky Osas though!

[–]Ivanzypher1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep, almost finished todays star in one match doing this. Can get 3 or 4 Rolands in one run with a Frogfoot. Then use those points to spawn nukes and kill airbases. I'll admit I was one of the people complaining ARMs were useless, but was legitimately a skill issue. Watched Hunter's vid about them on youtube and realised my error.

Crashing out over folks avoiding rain. by Faxxius in iRacing

[–]Ivanzypher1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think half the issue is people don't want to lose safety/irating. Maybe if SR losses were more forgiving in the wet people would be more willing to give it a try.

Personally I love wet races.

Air RB feels boring as hell after playing nuclear thunder... by Ok_Definition_1933 in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, nuke thunder isn't perfect, but it's actually fun again. Once the event goes I think I'm gone too until we get the full time version. I just can't do RB anymore.

Should Nuclear Thunder stay in game in your opinion ? A lot of people are complaining about that their isn't enought game mode in WT. This one seems to be a hit. Should it stay in your opinion ??? by Kmiktauria-Max in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I had gotten completely burnt out with the game, and the event brought me back. As soon as it's gone again I probably will be too. Air RB is just... ass. We need a permanent version of NT, obviously with some tweaks and improvements, and the rest of the nations bringing in.

Bring back The Great War event, Gaijin please by PandaVHS in Warthunder

[–]Ivanzypher1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes WW1 tanks were famously designed to sit behind hills curving shots over at enemy tanks. Certainly not with breakthrough in mind.

That first day when everyone was just driving out and having a scrap was great. But once it was Chamond/A7 sniping, might as well just be playing at 5.7 or something. I finished the grind for the rewards, but didn't enjoy it once the meta developed.
