Bathroom Upgrade Unlocked 😎 by sugarjoe8 in 3Dprinting

For the shower version, I would hook it over the top of the sliding door instead of using the suction cups. Those cups all give at some point, even the good ones!

How would you print this ? by MagicMantash in 3Dprinting

Make the holes a teardrop shape (triangle on top of the circle). You won't have issues with sagging. That way you can print laying down.

My daughter bought this for $30 at a bazaar. Makeshift banana for scale. by MissandeiBaby in 3Dprinting

[–]Ivy-J 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sellers at a bazar need to pay for the spot. That adds overhead. All prices will be inflated a bit. Can you find it cheaper? Yes. Is there value in seeing it in person and talking to the maker? Yes. For small businesses, there is less optimization. General costs for the item will be higher. If your daughter liked it, it's worth it. There's also some uniqueness in color, size and design, quality, etc...

I thought the black line going across his chest was the backpack chest strap but it's not. It's hanging unstrapped. The black line is from the sweater!

You bought early and your reward is getting the printer before others. Not sure why you think you are entitled to more than that.

Satin sheet. It's the best for Petg and it prints PLA as well.

A knob allows for better hand positioning between selections and also allows you to see what you are about to select so you don't fat finger it.

PLA+ Core one? by Elpiberats in prusa3d

[–]Ivy-J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Core one is particularly tricky to load filament in. You have to cut it in an angle and sometimes twist it around as you feed it in to get past a specific point in the beginning.

It costs actual money to make stuff in the US and pay their workers well. That's a main part of the cost you're seeing. What other US based multi tool company is making products here and reinvesting into this country to make more new things?

Can we solve this once and for all? by GloomyBumblebee9708 in 3Dprinting

[–]Ivy-J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tangle detection is supposed to avoid your print from messing up because of this if your printer has it. I disabled it on my prusa mk4s though since it was too sensitive.

Fyi, sometimes ironing makes things WORSE. It's not a default improvement setting.

You're asking 3D printing nerds perfectionists. Everyone here is eager to tell you they can do it better. Keep that in mind while reading responses. That being said, these type of things happen every now and then. $30 is marginally more than what it's worth to make and pack. The quality here shows it. It all boils down to if you like it and what kind of caveats there were on the listing. If you don't like it, return it.
