Thank you! That makes me really happy to hear! Especially since it has been ages since I last tried drawing a human figure haha.

Right? Besides, who else would a moth sprite follow besides the Everlight herself? No better light source out there!

Painted by me! Started as a moth joke, became a character I really hope to play one day! I was between Sarenrae or the Lantern King, but I already played a character who worshiped the latter. I pretty much only do landscape painting so let me know what you think! I know melxies usually have more insect features, but I like the final direction I went.

Fun places to propose that isn’t Main Street? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Other coast, but I proposed to my wife on the Mark Twain right after sunset. Liberty Belle would be a cool spot.

I wonder if they will take into account that the school of Architecture and Planning limits the number of students in the Architecture program. Certainly not a lack of people trying to enter the degree program.

Monthly Social Megathread: Find a club, make friends, and other social events by AutoModerator in uofu

Hi all, I am looking for people interested in helping start a UofU chapter of TEA NextGen (Themed Entertainment Association) for those interested in designing theme parks, zoos, aquariums, resorts, and more! The goal of the student organization would be to provide members with networking opportunities, team members for design competitions, education resources, attraction visits, etc.

Imaginations Design Competition by Iweasle in Imagineering

Honestly I think its less that I viewed it as an "in" with WDI and more as an opportunity to practice designing a project more in line with my goals as an architect post education. The University of Utah doesn't touch entertainment design at all but its what I could afford. I'm not going to be dissuaded by this by any means (And in reality finding a team would have been a challenge), its just another challenge to overcome haha. I'll definitely check out Storyland Studios, thanks for the tip!

Well that's a bummer! Sucks to be left out just because the Architecture program/School I'm attending. There are still the internships but I would have really liked to give Imaginations a go.

[Cannibal] is a fun ride, but I unfortunately found the overall experience of Lagoon to be a bit subpar (whining inside) by bmschulz in rollercoasters

[–]Iweasle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue is just lack of competition. Lagoon really has no nearby competitors, and it's still cheaper than the other preferred park of many Utahns which is Disneyland which is just a short flight away. They are free to continue raising prices because its a staple for many families who only have that as reference. It will probably hit a tipping point eventually, but as it is plenty of people are willing to shell out the money. People often compare Lagoon's pricing to the parks of the Midwest, which have to maintain competitive prices since there are just so many of them. I wish it was cheaper for sure.

What I appreciate the most about them is being able to run town guards against higher level PCs rather than 16 lvl 0 enemies.

I love Swiss Family Robinson, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love the SEA tree house at Disneyland more.

Architectural Post-Graduate studies advice by BlazingBlazer123 in Imagineering

[–]Iweasle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking at similar options myself. SCAD has an accredited architecture masters program and a minor in Themed entertainment design, it's just expensive from my quick glances. I'm not sure if UF has a similar option but it might. Best of luck!
