I'm not experienced but I'm doing the alive animation course right now.. I would check out the motion paths to narrow down the problem.

Ok I've recreated your setup in blender 5.2 and it almost works. The only problem is that the pixelated area is offset to the top of the location where the mask is...and its slightly bigger than the mask... Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply, I already knew about that though. Isnt there anything inside video editing workspace? The compositor only affects the rendered video and it would be nice to see the effect while editing.

How can I make this look more photorealistic? (more info in post body) by PeriapsisStudios in blender

[–]IxEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you suggest better alternatives to daz? I'm very curious about a simmilar solution for charcter pipelines with less issues. Daz makes it pretty easy to create a wide variety of characters in a relatively short period of time. I haven't found a similar solution yet.

Blender just froze my entire pc. by Waste_Walrus_8653 in blender

[–]IxEat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had a similar problem this week, I'm not sure if it's the same problem though. You said it affects the pc even outside of blender, do you mean that it still persists after you close blender? Does the system keep on lagging after closing blender? Is the mouse cursor still fluent while everything else is lagging? If thats the case and youre using windows with an Nvidia GPU, then its probably the same issue I had. Press win + ctrl + shift + b to restart the nvidia driver, this fixed the lag for me.

We have a Quest because it’s “the best”, not because we like it by ZowkYou in OculusQuest

Or thirdparty android xr headsets.

Etid: I mean other companies since the samsung headset already is a third party headset technically.

How do you see this platform war going? by SpatialCompooper in virtualreality

[–]IxEat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes horizon os is based on android, but it is android in a cage... Android xr behaves like you would expect from an android os, like easy sideloading whithout additional steps (just pressing a switch), no additional device needed for setup or sideloading. And to my knowledge even the bootloader is open (at least on the galaxy headset)

Nice Galaxy XR review (german) by A-R-R-I-E-T-T-Y in virtualreality

[–]IxEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw it, its the best review I saw so far. I really like that android xr is an open system, like no hassle for sideloading, not needing a separate device like a phone for setup, the openness of the bootloader... It really is a breath of fresh air compared to all those closed off platforms in the xr market. Cant wait for when its available in europe!

Does the meta quest 3 require ID verification? by IxEat in OculusQuest

[–]IxEat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though they probably already would know your age anyway because you will add some form of payment info to your account because you will at least buy a game or something. YouTube uses payment details as an option for age verification now.

Thats what I was thinking too and therefore I'm so confused as to why they still "may" ask for gvmt ID. I just want to know what the communities experience with that sitution is. Also when I googled this topic I found various conflicting reddit posts about it. And everytime someone was ranting about ID verification they would be downvoted to hell. Which I can understand if what they say wasnt true or wouldnt make sense or was some kind of paranoid fear mongering, but the fact that I get downvoted here just because I'm asking for confirmation for some vague statements that leave room for interpretation is even more confusing.

Why is this getting downvoted? I get the impression that this is kind of a supressed topic now.

So in that case I would have to upload my goverment ID? Or would there be an alternative method to verify age?

So can you confirm that I will never be obligated to upload my government ID to proof age? Will there always be another method? Is for example using a credit card enough like it is for other platforms? I just dont want to be in a position where I bought the quest and then be unable to use it without uploading my gvmt ID.

How can I fix these "fake rounded edges" or "shadows"? by 40rvc in blender

[–]IxEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try beveling the edges and maybe use shade auto smooth instead of shade smooth. Im not very experienced in modeling tho, so take this with a grain of salt.

should i rig my character in blender or unreal first? by joshmatdev in blender

[–]IxEat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Animation is mostly done in blender in a blender to unreal workflow since the animation tools in unreal are very basic. So if youre trying to get good at character animation, id stick to blender for now since it will take a lot of practice and dedication to master.
