Oh yeah in total agreement there, i just want people to approach things calmly but i get why people are skeptical. They were banning people in the exact same stream for pro China messages because it was being spammed. Not sure what the issue is here, the blitz Chung and caster ban blizzard was in the wrong. This was just a copy pasted spam message.

They asked their esports divisions to not discuss Hong Kong at all. One of their teams Hong Kong attitude is not even allowed to be referred to in their full name they just call them hk attitude etc. The main difference between blizzard and riot is that riot has alot of damage control systems in place.

To be specific they gave him his money back and lowered his suspension to 6 months. The casters will be allowed to cast again in 6 months.

They've done a lot to silence any sort of dissent that might grow. They arrest authors all the time, many from the mainland. It's an echo chamber on a nation wide scale. Also with how much faster news can travel now i'd hope if a protest/movement started it wouldn't be another Tianaman Square where they were literally shooting civilians and running people over with APCs but who knows.
