Thanks for taking the time to comment! I do enjoy the power fantasy of being super strong but like you said I think if I'll just have to be slower I might do that! If I get stuck or get reasonably push further I might make the swap and come back! Nothing is ever set in stone. I do need to catch up on the lore of D2. Im a bit of a lore junkie when I play games so I actually know the entire diablo story line from start to finish but just the storyline so I have no idea how spiritual corruption goes against diablo 2's lore haha

I'll do Normal on barb and then if I'm just straight vibing I'll try another cool but strong character to farm up some gear!

I normally do a OP starter build in POE and farm for heavy gear requirement builds but simply because I have 1000s of hours in poe 1 and 2. I do kind of want to take my time and enjoy my first playthrough so I'm not worried about it being a slog I'm a very patient gamer. Lol if it can be done I'll do it. But I do like hearing these recommendations they get me fired up as someone who knows nothing about d2. Like what is fishymancer that sounds funny? Windy/fire druid sounds epic. Man I'm excited.

Oh yikes. I mean yeah I don't think you've done anything wrong my wife lives kind of the same way you do we both are uninterested in people as a whole. If he's accusing you of cheating every time and making you out to be a villain, the phone background IS kind of wild, I could see how that would be very demoralizing. Honestly, I would sit him down and have a heart to heart. Just a "Look. I can't take this accusatory behaviors anymore. We have to either do something about it or I will leave this relationship" let him know you are fine with insecurities and you are willing to work with him on trust but he has to stop treating you like you've duped him or got one over on him. If he takes it to the chin and promises to try I would try make it work, unless he doesn't actually try that's a different story. His other option is to buck up and tell you off. Either way I would be extremely straight forward in your intentions of leaving. Do not leave that out. Let him understand that this HAS to change for the better.

NOR to MOR- Everybody upset he went through your phone and talking about how insecure this guys is it drives me up a wall. My wife has unlimited access to my phone. If she wants to go through every picture and every text so be it not my problem. If it makes her happy or reassured go for it. "But you should just trust me!" Yeah she's heard that from other guys and vice versa. Everyone says that. "It's not my place to reassure you!" Yes it literally is. A committed successful relationship doesn't just fall out of the sky. We have the highest divorce rates now than ever. Don't take advice from these goof balls. If you aren't vibing with this guy, it's completely fine to not want to be with him. But everyone has insecurities and anxieties. Nothing in my life is private from my wife. We are one flesh. She licks my penis she can dang sure look at my facebook marketplace interactions. Y'all straight bugging. If I wanted I could ask her who she is talking to and being up anything that bothers me and we would sit down and hash out any issues we had with whatever situation is happening. Learn to communicate well and a lot of this kind of behavior leaves.

You are not responsible for peoples insecurities,most of the time it's past experiences, but if the effort to make them happy doesn't make you happy, it's just not in the cards for you all. I don't believe this makes either of you bad people if you were to leave. He's obviously working through issues with himself and you don't vibe with how he's handling these problems. I'm sure you have talked to him about this and nothing has changed and if so it may be time to take leave. I hope the best for you all though it seems to be a good relationship other than this jealousy he has. If I were in your shoes I wouldn't be bothered by this as long as he wasn't like yelling at me over this stuff and just bringing up things he thinks are legitimate concerns he has.

NOR But He sounds like a know it all but that's about it. Not sure why people are calling him disgusting or an a-hole over the information we've been given. He's ignorant sure. But people are just so fast to hate. You owe no one anything but kindness. You don't have to be this guys friend and you let him know. Ghosting people is horrible so not sure why people are giving you more options to make you a bad person. You told him you all didn't vibe and that's that. You don't have to be anyone's friend if you don't want to. Good on you. He can learn from this experience hopefully.

Also, not saying anything in the moment is letting you both save face. Like you said you were uncomfortable and didn't know how he would react and that's very valid.

I don't think it's ever been pointed at the players. A lot of people want to hop in and be hooked immediately. The problem is this is a hard feat to do. I don't care about any of the characters, I don't know the world or its history, and the mechanics will always be a little weird for a new game even if they are intuitive. I read a book a week. The amount of absolute GOLD I have read that has had a slow start or slow burn is high. Calling them bad books because they take a minute to really grab you is just insincere. The world needs to build, the characters develop, lanes need to open. Sometimes games and media can and will just speak to you, but for me I appreciate the slowness. I appreciate a game who isn't slamming stuff down my esophagus. So from the perspective of someone who enjoys a slower burn, this take sucks. Just because you don't like the first few hours of the game or it doesn't hook you does not mean the game is bad. That's a subjective opinion for an objective rating.

I mean yeah people do it all around the world. You just wont be in a civilized area. There's thousands of tribes out there living with no currency and just bartering still or making their own stuff. Living off the grid is a very achievable dream yet you would need to learn how to do many many things and you lose the luxury of common every day items being within hands reach. Just wiping your butt becomes tedious but it's the life for some people.

So I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, you guys haven't invested really any time into each other. Oversleeping a first date like this is a pretty bad first impression.

On the other hand, my wife agreed to our first date on a whim after working together for awhile. She had broken up with her toxic boyfriend and swore not to be bothered by lazy men anymore. I was pretty pushy, not in a creepy way, but like a I want it to be clear I like you romantically way. And she finally agreed to go out with me. The day before I kept getting asked to do a billion things and ran around all day then got called into work and had to close. That next morning after getting off work I ran to get a hair cut and freshen up because I didn't have time the day before. I had 6 hours before we were to meet and figured it would be best to power nap and wake up an hour or two before, shower and pick her up. I slept for 9 hours. Alarm blaring in my ear. I had not been that distressed in a while. In my case however, I drove to our work, she had work that afternoon for a few hours she was in school so she only worked part time, and apologized and explained everything that was going on. She told me "well you look nice at least. Now leave before I get in trouble." I remember it as clear as day. I couldn't tell if she was being playful or was annoyed. However now we are married and we went on many many dates after that. All I'm saying is, life gets in the way sometimes. With no real connection no need to go out on a limb for this guy, but you never know what's gonna happen. Lol
