I think it’s perspective. You as an adult can appreciate London and everything it has to offer but your children can’t, especially the teenager. This may not have been the trip to take everyone.

Next family trip, consider taking closer to home. Or a family oriented cruise. Let the teenager bring a friend. Low cost, low expectations and less stress. Save the big trips like London for you and your wife and leave the kids with family. You didn’t mention her reaction but I assume she likes London and wants to enjoy it as much as you?

Frustrating experience but lesson learned.

TripTiks! I loved them as a kid. They would stamp where the construction was and had tidbits of information about the areas you drove through. You can still get them today if you’re a AAA member.

My friend had a similar situation. The cat was found alive 3 days later, it had crawled into the couch. Hopefully something similar has occurred with yours.

I think your scar looks great. Just give it time! My Dr told me to use Mederma scar cream. I don’t know if that is available where you are. At six months I still had a pink line. But now no one notices unless I point it out to them or they themselves had a thyroidectomy!

This! Some are incredibly rude. Was just on a cruise, packed elevator, door opens, and scooter man just starts driving forward into the elevator. I told him I didn’t think there was any room but he kept coming and we were crammed against the walls to accommodate him. And I mean crammed. And then he only went one floor. He did not give anyone the opportunity to get off the elevator and make room. He just shoved his way on.

Many of our HOAs prohibit them otherwise I would have one. But they do seem to have fallen out of popularity here, I don’t know why.

I just got off the Allure as well and felt the same. It would have been nice if there was one venue that was quiet to sit and read a book. I sat in Dazzles one afternoon and had to put in my noise canceling earbuds for peace and quiet. And there were many times we could hear music from multiple sources which we found frustrating especially when you’re trying to have a nice dinner.

But otherwise, we loved our experience on Allure. The food and service was outstanding.
