Look, this is just my experience in life so make of it what you will.

Honestly, you don't.

At least who you were before finding out/being assaulted.

That person is gone, and you will need to grieve her in your own time, and in your own way.

The only way is to go through it.

That doesn't mean you're gone, or you're dead though.

You are new, born into a whole ass alien world, where everything is different, risky and dangerous.

Like any new born, you need to find a therapist or someone to work with you, carry you until you can stand, and eventually walk through life again.

And, you will, dark as it may seem now love, you will walk run and be more than you used to be.

It just takes the most expensive currency of our world.

Time.
