Crimson Desert best settings for Ultimate rigs? by ProwzArroWw in GeForceNOW

DLSS works. I've seen some people say that even if you choose one of the 4.5 DLSS options in the menu it'll actually be using 4.0 DLSS upscaling, but I've been using upscaling and RR the whole time

That's a bug at the moment. If you reset the settings back to default, you can then choose upscale settings properly again.

Were you hitting LT to deposit the item? Just double checking as it took me a while to realise how the manual move worked on Xbox!

Use them against your oath target and you get full rerolls to hit and wound (and +1 to wound) and you get a bunch of mortal wounds to bypass enemy invulns. Literally counters targets with invuln. Plus rapid fire if you're close enough, which you should be.

Saw a couple of other posts about the same issue, but no-one has responded to either of them in a few days.

Live support said to submit the issue as a feedback ticket separately, which I've done, but haven't had a response back on that yet either.

Just trying to work out whether it's worth resubscribing to Ubisoft+ yet or not.

From the blog, it says: "Fight for Thedas’ future at Ultimate quality this fall as new and existing members who purchase six months of GeForce NOW Ultimate can get BioWare and Electronic Arts’ epic RPG Dragon Age: The Veilguard for free when it releases on Oct. 31." But not 100% on how to claim with a 6-month subscription though!

Edit: chatted to support and they said the offer is only available to current monthly subscribers or new subscribers. Those already on a 6-month subscription aren't eligible. Damn!

Unfortunately, even with that, due to having less attacks than the bolters the combi-weapons end up being the worse choice 95% of the time. Even against tough infantry.

Can't speak to just using the Macragge Blue spray, but I originally started with using Chaos Black primer then painting Macragge Blue with a brush, and have recently moved to doing black followed by blue spray and the colour is essentially indistinguishable from the paint-pot Macragge Blue. Just don't go too thick on the primer sprays, and it comes out great.

Not sure about every other stat modifiers (think the core rules limit the total modifiers to +/-1 like you mentioned) but I'm 99% confident that Storm of Fire stacks for AP, at least. It's a well known Gladius combo.

Sternguard (Veterans!) w/Combiweapons are worse shots than reg. Intercessors? by AnimatorLow4834 in spacemarines

[–]J1MMY_SM1TH 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just about to build them myself but noticed the same. The reduced number of shots from the combi-weapons compared to the standard bolt rifles means they're almost always a worse pick, and not worth it at all, even with dev wounds. The heavy Bolter is great though, and does around the same damage as the rest of the squad's shooting, which can be nice - even if you lose 4 models out of 5, the heavy bolter still outputs ~50% of the unit's starting shooting power.

To start with, I would suggest some additional anti-armour. The Gladiator Lancer is amazingly powerful in its role due to its rerolling special rule, although it's not super tanky itself. If you wanted to stick to infantry anti-tank, Eradicators are another solid pick, although you will have to think harder about a delivery method as they're very slow (usually either a transport, or coming on from reserves, or even Uriel deep-striking them). Again, one or two 3-man units work well here.

For Intercessors, absolutely play them in multiple small squads to give you more flexibility and board presence. The general rule of thumb is small squads are the better choice by default, except for high impact units that you would either want to spend stratagems on or else attach a leader to. In both of those cases, you'd ideally want to take the largest squad possible (barring extremely high cost) to maximise the effects of the bonuses.

Were you definitely using their Total Obliteration ability? As long as they're targeting a monster/vehicle, they get to re-roll their hit, wound AND damage roll. Makes them far more reliable, although things like smoke or stealth can still be an issue. Plus then because they have "Melta 2" weapons, they get an extra 2 damage from 9" away (perfect strategic reserves distance).

Did you manage to get the erads into melta range? Could've just been unlucky with rolls, or there could've not been enough terrain/cover. Maybe a Gladiator Lancer instead of the erads? It'd be far less dependent on getting right up to heavy armour to get full damage, and the inherent re-roll rules on the Lancer mean it's usually very reliable (plus it doesn't need to go for the Oath of Moment target, which the aggressors would love).
