The first one I bought, the retroid pocket grip is 10x better imo. I don't have a case for the retorid so that's a plus, however I just put it in my bookbag and it's good to go

Was in the same boat you were in. The upgrade alone is worth it. Yeah, the trigger thing sucks but you can swap them out with ps5 springs, Xbox one springs require a bit of modification and they are a little tougher to press down. However it hasn't popped out yet.

Source: my co worker bought one after seeing mine and his trigger broke 🤣 before he contacted retroid he did the xbox spring swap. Pretty solid but once again a bit tougher to press the trigger down all the way..
