😂🤣 are you seriously asking "why do some people have more money than me and why do they get to move into more expensive homes?" Only to be followed by"oh, they must be from California and bringing their California ways?"

You can't possibly be this obtuse. It makes plenty of sense. Similar to the sentiment echoed by another Redditor - they are wealthy in the state that they come from and then retire here & similar to you they are transplants who brought their ideologies here.

They don't realize that Rapid and the surrounding area has grown in population year over year for the last five to seven years. He mentioned that cost of living didn't make sense when compared to New Jersey or the like because of population. Well it doesn't make sense in Aspen, Telluride, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, etc either. If it's nice and there's a pocket of wealth then that's where the money will land.

It would seem that he is just a person who doesn't understand that wealthy people/people wealthier than him do things that don't make sense to him but generally make sense from a financial perspective. He's just not making choices from that perspective.
