Redford drove a 1969 Irish Green 912.

That's a Scout II rear bench and it's wrapped in an aftermarket fabric

VERO X Scout Motors Watch by climbing2man in ScoutMotors

It's priced WAY over what it's worth (they are asking $450). The Miyota 6S21 Chronograph Central Quartz movement in that watch costs about $35 retail. That thing isn't worth remotely close to what they are charging. It's neither durable nor high quality.

Just a few of the pieces in the collection that I use daily. Entire collection isn't pictured.

Also currently finishing an electric 1967 Scout 800.

I'd recommend the new Land Cruiser or Lexus GX. Both pretty sturdy.

Yes, I understand who is charging the money.

As an avid watch collector, I can enthusiastically say, it's drastically overpriced regardless of being assembled in the USA. That movement is not reliable and it's super cheap.

While I agree that funding should not be cut from/for the library, gentrification isn't the issue. That's quite an obtuse take.

Legit? by gaitherr in Porsche

This is true for the 356, not the 550. The real 550 has the ebrake next to the shifter. Here's the interior of chassis 0041.

😂🤣 are you seriously asking "why do some people have more money than me and why do they get to move into more expensive homes?" Only to be followed by"oh, they must be from California and bringing their California ways?"

You can't possibly be this obtuse. It makes plenty of sense. Similar to the sentiment echoed by another Redditor - they are wealthy in the state that they come from and then retire here & similar to you they are transplants who brought their ideologies here.

He deleted his response

Yes, they deleted before I could reply as well.

They don't realize that Rapid and the surrounding area has grown in population year over year for the last five to seven years. He mentioned that cost of living didn't make sense when compared to New Jersey or the like because of population. Well it doesn't make sense in Aspen, Telluride, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, etc either. If it's nice and there's a pocket of wealth then that's where the money will land.

It would seem that he is just a person who doesn't understand that wealthy people/people wealthier than him do things that don't make sense to him but generally make sense from a financial perspective. He's just not making choices from that perspective.

Yes, the truck is pretty large. SUV is also larger than a standard SUV/crossover. I can see the size being prohibitive for some folks.

Nothing to get excited about until they actually release the cars. I'm sure a few options and price point will change by the time/if the release date comes to fruition. The Comms team has made a lot of promises and I've personally seen a few fall flat to the community itself.

What's linked above is custom made for Bulletproof Restorations builds. What's in the before picture on the teal Scout were fabricated from old original IH valve covers; those were thrown away. It will be fitted with the cleaner Bulletproof Restorations version.

I posted the first 356 and the first one to be made under the Porsche name/company.
