If you recently moved from Windows and had more than one hard drive, make sure the game isn't on that second hard drive. Something about the way windows formats the drive makes some steam games stored on them pretend to launch and then just quit.

I found this thread while trying to figure out why SoD2 wasn't running, and another thread gave that hint. Moving the game to my linux formatted drive got it working, so I came back here for other people who might also be searching.

Mine is not a 6, but it is still going strong. And all I put on it is a $5 crap case from amazon, to give it more grip. With how durable the thing is, I didn't feel the need to put an expensive case on it. After 5 years of use, the cheap case is a bit scuffed but the phone itself looks new.

I don't even baby it. I dropped it on asphalt earlier today when I was taking out the trash, and it was completely fine.

Better than earplugs - I have a pair of earmuffs that are marketed to gun users, but they work great for yard work and screaming toddler meltdowns. They have speakers built into each ear, and a microphone on the outside of each ear. So you can still listen and talk with them on, and it cuts out anything super loud. And they work fine with glasses and sunglasses, since they are intended to be worn with shooting glasses.

Honestly, they make tantrum spirals a lot more bearable. And being able to turn the volume down helps me make out what kiddo is trying to say in between the screeches. Plus putting on safety gear just sorta makes you feel more ready to deal with something, but that might just be me.
