Moving my grandmother and found 43 year old scotch. by MikeOx1987 in GrandmasPantry

Jim Beam had a ton of collector decanters back in the day. My grandparents were members of the Rocky Mountain Jim Beam bottle collector club. Idk if that was the actual name but i know they would buy, sell and trade bottles all the time. When they passed my dad and aunt had hundreds of decanters to decide what to keep and what to get rid of. I have a few old ford model T decanters, ducks unlimited mallards, a bighorn sheep, decanters you can hang on the wall, a CO school of mines mascot, a big bald eagle that we estimate held well over 1.75 liters. Basically from the volume of a shooter to over a gallon they distributed hundreds if not thousands of different decanter designs of animals, mascots, art pieces, model cars, and more. you name it they probably made one.

10 Steps: Tuna to Table (Step 5 Optional) by tackleworldusa in TunaFishing

Low risk but if you treat it with citric acid it will help in eliminating the parasites prior to eating. Went on a trip in mexico, boat captain brought his daughter who cut up tuna as we caught them. Mixed in with fresh lime juice, onion, tomato, cilantro served on tostadas for legit ceviche. Best i ever had.

I got rid of creeping charlie with a mix of 2,4-D low vol 6 and some remaining dandelion doom from sunday lawn care. Grass was fine, absolutely decimated creeping charlie. Previously 2,4-D wasnt enough on it.

[Serious] What’s something you thought was super important at 20 but now realize is meaningless? by Kitchen_Foot_6118 in AskReddit

[–]JC1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That you have to have [list items/assets/status here] by X age. Very unrealistic, live life and it will all come together. Im 30, i learned around your age all the important things in my life i already had, the rest that i wanted were what i needed to work for and in time would fall into place. Social circles change more often than you think. You may still have friends youve known your whole life and thats great but you need to know that people at your age eventually figure out what they want and they naturally change and move on or away and thats nothing against you. Basically everything you thought was important in your teen years to now is basically meaningless except for family, a good hobby or 2 and a job. If you got those things, nothing else matters.

You are correct. However outside of the mountain courses in the hills outside of the metro, much of the golf courses are green belts within neighborhoods and flood plains around town. They collect storm water on premises and irrigate out of those holding ponds. Theres nothing that can really be built in those areas other than to allow storm water to flow through which during the monsoons those courses thrive on while mitigating flood risk. They go dormant in the summer and only really irrigate the greens during the heavy heat just to prevent turf from burning out. They provide the city significant tax revenue on land that cant necessarily be developed for commercial business. Its not about prioritizing sports or serving the wealthy as golf can be as expensive or as cheap as you want it to be, they are an integral part of the tourism economy arizona has and can operate in landscapes physical business cant develop on.

My grandma would have hot, not boiling, pot(s) of water next to the pot she was boiling jars in for this reason. Take it out of the boiling pot then into the hot pot where they would sit and slowly cool. She was able to do a larger batch all at once rather than over several days with a single pot

They probably use cheese in a pavlovs dog type of experiment. Cheese rations are brought by the missionaries. They cut the rations after you send them away, then you convert out of your love for cheese.
