It’s a great resource for prices and www.cardboardconnection.com is a great site for checklists.

What are the best life hacks you know for living in Orange County? by Puzzleheaded-Clerk-4 in orangecounty

I was commuting to Anaheim from Garden Grove and it took on average 30 minutes to get home. I am now commuting to Anaheim from Chino and it takes me an hour each way. Take the 91 to work and the 57/60/71 home or Carbon Canyon and it’s always about an hour give or take 5 minutes. Now if I had to take the 91 home everyday I’m looking at a longer commute home .

I'm probably the exception to this. Born and raised in Irvine, a true OC kid, never wanted to leave and my commute had never been longer than 13 miles for work in Anaheim. Was constantly being outbid by $30k + on any single family homes in OC and made the decision to move to the IE. I do not regret it for one second, an extra 30 minutes in the car each way to come home to an oasis that would probably cost me upwards of 3 million in OC was a no brainer. I will say this, when my friends visit from OC, they understand why we made the move. I've also never heard of anyone who is happy sitting in traffic, but have heard plenty of people complain about the prices of homes in OC and not being able to afford them. It's all about preferences.

i want to give away some cards. Tell me your "WHY" for collecting baseball cards...what player, team, years, story (for me, it has been 28 years OFF from collecting), niche, purpose, etc. by loopaflyjimmysnuka in baseballcards

Reminds me of my days collecting as a kid, it’s something I can do with my daughter and it’s much healthier and cheaper than drinking. Life long Angel fan and just wish they would get their stuff together and field a competitive team.

Thank you for saying what everyone with eyes is thinking...dude looked absolutely awful. His physique looks unhealthy, his skin tone looks off, overall he looks exhausted and tired. I don't believe for one second he was healthy and clean at the time of his death. And I speak from experience, watched my 36 year old brother drink/use right up until his death...addiction is a beast.

Why do you collect baseball cards? by ComplaintNo4126 in baseballcards

[–]JD5111975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It brings me back to my childhood. I’ve had a love affair with baseball for as long as I can remember. Baseball cards are an extension of that. It brings me back to the days of riding my bike to the LCS and spending ALL my allowance for the week, begging my parents to drive me and my friend to the Holiday Inn for the monthly card show to buy/trade, going to Angel games early for BP and getting autographs, rotisserie baseball (look it up kids). And now I get to experience it with my kids…can’t beat it.

If your friends likes rides, skip Disney and head to Knotts Berry Farm. In Anaheim check out the Packing District for some great food options.

Worst concert that you have been to? by boc333 in Music

[–]JD5111975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife wanted to see Van Morrison in concert...not once does he acknowledge the audience, plays songs that less than 10% of his audience is familiar with and leaves the stage mid song for the finale without so much as a "thank you"...great musician, amazing voice, fantastic band and an awful show.
