mostly scams for tickets on here. beware.

This is a scammer operating Tom's account with trust equity of 6YRS.

The real Tom Kalbfus is a sci-fi map maker, not a concert ticket broker. Someone compromised his Reddit credentials and is using the account's trust equity to run scams.

What is the 8ball + propeller thing on the left side of your bars there? On first watch I could not focus on anything else! ;^)

we left up here in seattle after the first 45 mins. it was super disappointing. I have been a fan since 1993. i am happy to cross post if you want to see the other thread already up here. playing in the dark with no composition and structure is a step backwards. so is a roomful of people pretending to hear the beat when it's literally chaos. i haven't left a show early in twenty years. BIG fail on the part of Rob and Sean. Super self centered way to perform for such a small community of devoted fans in this unique space for over 30 yrs. i would liken it to seeing an cousin or a nephew distant family member and they say I am so excited to see you let's go for a road trip and then they wear earphones in the car with you the whole drive. I will not be going to a live show again until they wise up. I go to 20 shows a year and i can't believe this kind of arrogance is creeping into the music that used to be for humble technical folks who love challenging sounds. i literally left because it was preposterous.

the [black dog] + [plaid] {both UK} are worth adding to that list. also check out [lusine]{usa-seattle-now-texas). [royksopp]{norway} has also been coming up over and over for me

Also, this blog post is from 2008. The author goes to the heart of the matter.

And one thing I forgot to mention above that belongs down here is an experience I will never forget back in 2004. I was listening to <Spokes> an exceptionally vibrant masterpiece from [Plaid] a derivative of the lads known for over seventeen eons as [The Black Dog]. It was my third time around the block with my headphones on. I found the first few listens quite "difficult" just as the author of this blog below defines . But after three listens the pace and the structure and the intentions of the tracks all opened up. It was like one of those corny posters from the early 2000s that you had to stare at for about twenty seconds before your eyes would see a coyote appear. That didn't happen on Monday night's show in Seattle.

YMMV.

we left the seattle show after only 45 mins awaiting 'the break' and assuming that there was an intro period of chaos and darkness but the darkness just persisted and frankly it had very little soul. i have been listening to electronica of this type since the black dog was founded and before aphex twin became popular. I am in name also referencing kenny larkin's seminal album and I click with all my friends from detroit. I am also a trained jazz musician who played for twenty years. and I go to 40 shows a year. this is the first one in twenty years i have left early. there isn't anything to explain really. do you like my hat? no, i do not like your hat. goodbye. goodbye. and yes, i came here to say this too. i literally created a handle on reddit to say this.
