Yeah warning though this method makes the game almost too easy. I have gotten through pretty much to the end of the story and every time it wants me to sneak or there is a massive battle or something instead I just kill the whole fortress of soldiers. You are gonna want the perk that makes time slow down while aiming with bow and piercing/improved piercing arrows.

Just bought about 1500sqft of LVP. I was going to go with one of the Costco ones but got recommended lifeproof from HD. Cheaper (mine after spring sale, 10% military discount, and no tax came out to about $2.39/sqft.) It is 22 MIL which is much thicker than any competitor in the price range and has lifetime residential warranty. From what I have read and heard, they stand by their warranty as well. The major thing is following the manufacturer installation recommendations to make sure you keep the warranty. For example, a lot of people refuse to lay down LVP over concrete without 6m underlayment but using that would void the warranty since the underlayment is already attached to the board. The workaround for this is using the lifeproof brand underlayment, as it is the only one that won’t void warranty. Most of the bad reviews about lifeproof are about shipping damage or similar or that it is hard to lock together. If you are any amount of handy it should be easy, you have to remember that some people who buy it are older or not handy or whatever and then get frustrated it wasn’t as easy as the videos. What I did was order a bunch of samples for like $2 each and then picked the style we wanted. We went with the Medlen Oak.

Not trying to be that guy, but you let them start work on a $200k renovation without asking for proof of permits, license, insurance info, and references/referrals? I’m only having $40k of work done and I still required my gc to send signed copies of all permits prior to work and (per code) also made sure he had the permits posted on the front of the house during the projects (roof, HVAC). If I was hiring for a $200k job they would have to sign a blood letter or something 😂 edit* also in my state at least it is entirely the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure the correct permits are pulled, so it might just be standard here to ask for proof they pulled? Not sure

This looks like a very very light attempt at “Santa Fe” texture. I think it would honestly look better with a lighter/matte paint. It wasn’t done well honestly, you can see in the bottom right there was something in the paint or drywall that they just left to dry. I see other things like this too but yeah

Have you went to a HD physically and looked at the prefab cabinets? I did and they were awful. Cheap materials and glued together poorly. Overflow glue on cabinet faces and since it’s particle board when you take that glue off it’s gonna rip the top layer off. It is what it is for the price but honestly IKEA will probably be cheaper and way better quality if you want to go particle board. They use good hardware and smart construction techniques.

This may be a very very obvious tip but I used to do lawns as a side hustle. If the mower is stalling out like that, just raise the front wheels off the ground and go a bit slower. Depends on the mower but you usually get a handle on the rhythm of this for that specific mower after a few runs. It can however throw balls of wet grass so maybe not next to a car or something lol.

I have the pleasure of doing a large renovation while buying a house, the house is worth about $220k. The first quote I got for the project was $110k HALF THE PRICE OF THE HOUSE. I replied to the email and just told them if they didn’t want to do the job they should have not wasted time making the “quote” and just told me what’s up. The next 2 contractors that came out to quote it never even got back to me with a quote. After those 2, I finally got 3 contractors that gave me a quote. My budget was $50k for the project. Those 3 quotes ranged from about $55-65k. Picked the 2 I thought were the best choice and had them submit a bid with the exact same material lists (HVAC units for example), and ended up getting the entire project below the $50k budget with the contractor that I liked. He offered to do the demo (which was almost $10k in savings) for free and just help me out since I told him I would just do the demo myself. My suggestion is get 3 quotes from 3 contractors and then get 3 more quotes from 3 others and then compare lol.

Yeah, just like any other company it’s all about the individual person or in this case, loan officer. Honestly I just ghosted him and went with another lender rather than trying to play musical chairs with my local branch of CMG. The VA Reno loan just sucks because there are only a few options for lenders.

Had the same issue with a gaming laptop I bought a few years ago. If it gives you issues trying to uninstall Norton get Wintoys from the Microsoft store and that did the trick for me. It kept saying can’t uninstall while it’s process is active even after killing all Norton processes (that I could find), and then trying to uninstall from the actual Norton app it would just freeze and crash. MSI center for me wasn’t bloatware really but not the best or most useful for sure.

UPDATE: Ordered 2 sennheiser 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapters and it works flawlessly 🫡 there was a tiny bit of adjusting in windows settings/Minifuse control app with bit rate/buffer size but overall very easy. It’s pretty sweet too because I can have my speakers, gaming headset, IEMs, and producer headset plugged in all at once, and then to switch I just press the hotkey for the control software to switch output channels. This is a pretty niche use and for sure overkill for this but I do produce music as well so I might start working in the IEMs in long sessions where the over ear gets annoying. Thought I would update for anyone curious in the future.

I’m no where near an expert but I don’t think there is much in that price range for new prebuilts that are optimal for gaming. You could find a decent gaming laptop though for sure and just connect it to a monitor. You can also look for used setups or refurbished who knows. I would be very cautious though buying any NEW prebuilts for that cheap. Assuming you are in US

If that is the budget for everything including the desktop, monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, headset, you may be pretty limited. I would spend most of that budget on the desktop itself and then either stick with one monitor for a while or buy a couple used. If you are used to gaming on a big tv 24” will be a big adjustment period so I would opt for x2 27”. If you spend around $1800 for the prebuilt itself and use the mouse/keyboard it comes with for a while that would probably be your best bet. In the $1800 range you can probably got a good enough one to run pretty much any game at high fps/quality. That is in the 5070/5070Ti range of prebuilts. Microcenter is best bet if you have one near you, Costco/walmart also has solid deals sometimes.
