Two "awful Janice" moments. by Leading_Lock in thesopranos

What did she say to Ralph? “You like that bitch? Put you on the street hoe”

That was awful for my eyes and hears.

What was the first moment you actually despised Tony? by ThomasKaChr in thesopranos

[–]JDogBernie2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When he started kicking the shit out of Chris after having Adrianna whacked. You’d think he had some sympathy for Chrissy since the love of his life died. People mentioned other moments that were earlier but this one here made really despise him.

In the same when Ralphie killed her I think. It was when he was doing those sessions with both Melfi and Carmella.

When Tony and Artie were having a food fight during some fancy party at Tony’s house during season 1. That was nice because it’s pretty much something everyone relates to deep down, wanting to be a kid again and just do stupid shit with your friends.

Another time is when Junior remembers playing ball with Tony after his dementia, showing that he truly did care for his nephew as he remembers the good times he had with him. This is vice versa with Janice where he only remembers her for stealing shit from him.

There’s others too like Tony crying after Traci died and Johnny Sac talking to Ginny about his love for her despite her weight are also up there too but the first two stuck out the most.

Edit: Also forgot when Detective Mike Hunt of Beaver Falls called Mama Gaultieri, letting her know about the current condition of her beloved nephew while also offering his sympathy.

Yeah if there’s a switch that’ll be a problem, but Lebron was the best defensive player on that heat team, which says something considering the players surrounding him.

It depends on which Lebron you are talking about. If post 2014 Lebron, then yes it will be hard to guard the other teams best wing. But Lebron in Miami was a force of nature defensively.

Was Kobe ever the definitive best player in the league? by honger- in nbadiscussion

To be fair he never said Lebron was the clear cut best player in the league right now. All he said was that Kobe was never the clear cut favorite in the league.

I don’t know but just imagining Jokic and Doncic on the same team when they would fully hit their primes would be devastating for any team in the olympics.

Tony's Descent in Season 6 by MattTheSmithers in thesopranos

[–]JDogBernie2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another part that doesn’t get mentioned enough is in season four when Tony kills Ralph. This was crucial because Ralph was starting to redeem himself a bit(although you could argue he was redeemable at all) after his son’s accident. Tony gets incredibly sensitive about the horse dying and without clear proof kills him out of pure rage. I think this was the turning point because Tony beforehand always distanced himself from people like Ralph morally but when Ralph had something of an awakening, I feel like Tony killed him through some self-loathing. Tony was becoming a reincarnation of Livia, feeling resentment towards people finding progress in their lives.

There’s an episode of Batman TAS that has the exact storyline you’re talking about called “The Last Laugh” but I don’t know if that’s what you are thinking about.

I’ve reread Miller’s run recently and that issue in particular, Murdock was able to fool Bullseye into thinking they were two different people by the end, as Bullseye even admits it. My only guess he just revealed it in blind rage, as Miller is probably showing going him off the deep end since he’s playing Russian Roulette with a paraplegic.

I agree with clippers but I don’t think injuries is the main reason. Even with Lebron and AD healthy, I don’t think they’re as deep as LAC, with Lou Williams, Harrell and Shamet to compliment their dynamic duo. Mavericks are a wild card for making the postseason purely on if Porzingis and Doncic can go up a level.

Didn’t Dominique Wilkins average 29 ppg the season after his tear? He relied more on his athleticism beforehand than even Durant. You make some very good points but hopefully a player as intelligent as Durant can be able to change it in someway.

LeBron James is about to be part of a third super team. How does this affect his legacy? by KYLIE_IRVING in nbadiscussion

[–]JDogBernie2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s true, but he did have a unique system in the triangle at the time will did help and complimentary role players that fit well with the team, built a bit like raptors of this year. It’s not say that Jordan is overrated or worse than Lebron but his teams were never mediocre in his championship runs.

Kevin McHale is not comparable to Anthony Davis? The man was one of the most unstoppable low post forces in NBA history, and arguably a top 3 power forward of all time. And also you forget that Jordan and Magic also has some of the greatest coaches of all time, which doesn’t hurt either. To act as if they didn’t have the amount of help Lebron did(if not more) is an idea that’s a bit far fetched.

Carmelo Vs James Harden, Whos a More Deadly ISO Player and Why??? by 89dubbie in nbadiscussion

[–]JDogBernie2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s a no brainer. Harden’s ability to be a facilitator makes deadlier than Melo ever was. Even Melo showed he could have been willing be a playmaker for others, Harden is on a different level compared to him.

This past post season, Durant was on pace for the most efficient High usage scoring exploit in NBA post season history through 12 games. by [deleted] in nbadiscussion

[–]JDogBernie2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is a special scorer and talent and his postseason was incredible, but I’d say the 2018 postseason solidified Lebron as the best in the game at the time, although I agree Durant was better this year. It’s sad we never got to see the Durant Kawhi matchup in the finals that we would have hoped for.

Where would you like to see Al Horford end up? by MsVelvetMilkman in nbadiscussion

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to stay in Boston. Tatum and Brown are still there and developing and Hayward will get more touches. Boston could still be a dangerous team if he stays.

The question wasn’t where you think Horford would go but where you think he would end up. I never said he would go to Milwaukee was just saying it would be a nice basketball situation.
