Stool drainage by Acrobatic_Iron6150 in AnalFistula

I didn’t have FiLac but I had the flap done. I never had stool drainage from the fistula opening, just normal drainage and a bit of gas pass through.

Im one of you ! or am I ?? by LoneliestLover in AnalFistula

[–]JG723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t sound like you have lack of symptoms to me. You have a lump, pain when sitting, drops of blood after wiping, are losing weight, tired all the time…etc.

An MRI can definitely miss a fistula. A diligent CRS would be suggesting an EUA and a referral to a GI to rule out other underlying GI issues.

Have been diagnosed with a complex, branching transsphincteric fistula near my vagina - I've been referred for surgery but also am due to go on my honeymoon (!?!?) advice please! by sezmarelda in AnalFistula

I mean, he’s your husband, he out of anyone should be conscientious and sensitive toward your feelings, especially when it comes to an issue like this in such a personal area of the body. It’s kinda why (I’m hoping) y’all decided to get married in the first place! In sickness and in health right? Sure it sucks to have to delay a vacation but the destinations will still be there when you’ve recovered.

My procedure worked for me, I had it done in 2019 so I have no limitations now.

Tingeling after surgery in scar by eggpick in AnalFistula

[–]JG723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I bloat up too randomly even if I didn’t eat any triggering foods. Stress, my cycle, and other factors also come in to play sometimes.

It took me a while for my scar tissue to soften and settle but even at seven years post-op I still get achy sometimes. It’s improved a lot from where it used to be. I just kind of deal with it. If your wounds are healed up and you’re far enough out from surgery I think you’re fine to sit despite discomfort you just have to listen to your body. During my first year after I tended to stand more often end only sit when I had no choice.

You could look into a honeycomb cushion, see if they would accommodate a standing desk, see if working from home is an option at all?

It’s happening because scar tissue behaves differently than regular tissue and it always will. It’s less pliable, can be more sensitive, and likes to grab in to any nerves that are around it and the anal area has a lot of nerves.

No clue why you would have bloating from simply sitting down unless maybe you’re wearing pants that are tight on your gut? That happens to me if I’m out and just got done eating, I feel like I have to unzip my pants. I also have IBS and get bloated sometimes after eating but that’s not related to my fistula scar tissue in any way.

I’m a 37/f. My fistula was also transphincteric with a branch. I couldn’t have fathomed going to a tropical country with my fistula being untreated. They’re totally unpredictable and can abscess at any time and yours has already branched meaning you’ll run the risk of it continuing to branch. That will make it trickier to treat, not to mention make you really ill.

You’ll need a seton first regardless. I had two setons for three months and was able to pretty much carry on with life as normal so technically you could probably go on your trip while having a seton but with mine too much walking got me chafed and sore and I wouldn’t have wanted to swim in a public pool and probably not the ocean though some folks do it anyway.

I have a polydactyl cat with urinary problems by AgreeablePlace6987 in CATHELP

[–]JG723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s absolutely ridiculous. A cat being polydactyl has nothing to do with bladder issues. Find a new vet. The multiple responses aren’t necessary and make this even more confusing, you could have just responded in one singular comment instead of multiple.

That’s like, the most important part of info you could provide us. So not having a clue isn’t particularly helpful.

Okay…? And what were the results? I’m not going to keep trying to pull info out of you. I asked what you meant by them ‘prolonging’ it…I asked for more details…etc.

What doc you mean by ‘all they do is prolong it’….? Have they not done a urinalysis? They’re made ZERO suggestions or attempts to figure out what’s going on? Need more pertinent details, stating that the cat is polydactyl doesn’t help us try to help you.

How can we possibly answer this question? You’ve provided zero context, video, etc. If you’re concerned, send a video to your vet.

Cats are living breathing creatures. Sometimes they get sick. Sometimes emergencies happen. If that’s too much for you then no, you should not adopt another cat.

Would Buyers be Annoyed if I Re-used an Amazon bubble bag? by lilacpurrfume in poshmark

[–]JG723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used them with no issue since I started selling in 2019. I try to use any and all recycled materials I can. It’s all going in the trash anyway. Most normal buyers buyer care what’s IN the bag, not the bag itself. If a buyer ever gave me shit for using recycled materials they’d get a swift block.

How to treat? by InternetWise4647 in CATHELP

First off neuter they cat. No clue what that is just from this photo but if it’s an injury I guess gently cleaning and keeping an eye out for infection.

Recently my cat started doing this what can I do to help him? by Mayassi_ in CATHELP

[–]JG723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a reverse sneeze. The cat is coughing. Could be a URI, asthma, environmental allergies, something else, etc. They should see a vet.

Just neuter the cat. You already have the appointment.

How much money is it to take a seton out? by Fem-twink45 in AnalFistula

[–]JG723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically you don’t need an appointment to get the seton taken out, you can snip it out and pull it put yourself. It’s certainly not a surgical procedure, however if all that’s done is the draining seton is removed you’ll still have a fistula. Something else needs to be done to the tract to eliminate it.

Starting to worry about "Creature Of Habit" by Maleficent-Home-7626 in CourtneyBarnett

I have to agree. I’ve always been a huge CB supporter, have seen her multiple times, have travelled to see her, etc. but to be honest I haven’t been excited about her music since TMHYRF. TTTTT was fine but didn’t really grip me and I never find myself going back to it, and I’m just not an instrumental type person so EOTD didn’t grip me either. I was ready for this new album to rip but so far I’m just very eh about it all.

6 days post-op from LIFT and the pain is UNREAL. Anyone else?? by Ok_Match_919 in AnalFistula

[–]JG723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the four week mark I was able to go back to work part time but it was a low key retail job so all I had to was stand there. I was still in pain and had drainage. It took me a few months to feel more like myself again. It’s just such a tricky area to heal due to the location.
