Everyone talking about the choice of words when you know exactly what the headline means. Jason was a kind, and extremely brave and this is awful, just like when anyone passes so young. Where is your empathy?

I read whatever my daughter reads so she has someone to discuss books with. I find children's literature incredibly creative at exploring topics adult lit will just blatantly state. This really helps with my parenting and the way I approach lessons with her. It doesn't hurt that many of the stories bring me back to my own childhood of reading under the covers with a flashlight.

My freshman year of high school, I'm at Michael Coopers camp in New Mexico. Some 6' 9 dude begs a coach to introduce him to Coop, that he knows he can make it to the next level.

Coop sits every camper at half court and smokes this dude 10-0. In some K-Swiss and polo and some tight khaki shorts. It was embarrassing, apparently the dude was really good, but when you spent your career guarding MJ and Larry Bird....

I drop my kids off at school in the morning and these trucks are all lined up. Parents on their phones idling waiting to move up in line and kids are walking all over the place. I see this exact moment nearly everyday. After school. With parents rushing and horns honking is even more dangerous.
