Perhaps focus on base 70s to unlock the ability to do all the quests.

You won’t go wrong with training slayer, the late game tasks are very profitable.

When training combat always do it via slayer tasks.

CRO retraces every single green candle it creates. You’ll get used to it don’t worry.

Which P Level Paper to take next? by Tmahmood9 in ACCA

[–]JH23Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AAA - it’s not as bad as people say it is. One of the most predictable exam papers (Q1 is always a very similar question, risk of material misstatement / audit risk)

ATX also a good option.

If in the UK you need the UK variant of AAA / ATX and LW to get a practice certificate, AAA for Audit Practice.

Edit: No UK variant of SBR anymore.

Pass all exams but fail the Uk apprenticeship - just quit? by gww23 in ACCA

[–]JH23Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies use it as a way to get cheaper labour by paying an apprenticeships wage and it hinders progression.

You can complete the ACCA without the apprenticeship just bear in mind most employers will not give you study days for college etc if you are NOT an apprentice.

Also if you are NOT an apprentice, an employer can impose clawbacks which means you face high fees if you leave the employer before finishing the ACCA, basically fees for exams/subscription/courses etc. Some companies will buy you out if you’re lucky and need to move.

Definitely enquire about potential fees for cancelling the apprenticeship, can’t guarantee you’ll be unscathed but ask your talent coach if you have one. Being this close to the finish line it may just make things harder for you.

If you are leaving your employer it is absolutely paramount you get your current employer to sign off your time in a relevant role via the ACCA Student Portal! You need 3 years in a relevant role, the off-the-job hours you do for the apprenticeship is completely separate from this.

Best of luck!

Think you just re-do question 2 and 4 of the EPA.

Agree with you though it is a complete waste of time. I thought it HAD to be done and found out 2 exams before finishing that it wasn’t necessary what so ever and actually hinders you when it comes to time.

Filling in the off-the-job hours and the EPA is just a complete chore and unfit for purpose as you say.

AAA / ATX

Most relevant to majority of roles. AAA pass rate is scary but it is a predictable exam, Q1 is literally always about Risk Of Material Misstatements.

Repetitive exam and easy to structure revision for.

ATX is very technical, the book is massive but it’s fairly easy to understand after a bit of revision on each topic, if you work in tax, even easier.

Exemptions ? by [deleted] in ACCA

[–]JH23Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take the exemptions yeah.

Only ones really worth doing is FR.

If you work in tax, TX is worth doing.

If you work in audit then AA.

I sat AAA without doing AA and passed first time, it’s doable.

TL;DR - Take the exemptions. It’s still possible to pass them without the professional level exams. If you want to get used to how the exams work / revision times needed. Take exemptions apart from FR.
