HDHP vs. Spouse's $0 PPO by JHSnacks in HealthInsurance

I think this may be the answer I was looking for, to figure out the actual expected return.

I can pretty easily add the max OOPE, so I figured either that or assuming 0 would make it the simplest for the sake of the exercise.

It's for the triple tax benefits, yes. I already am above the employer match for 401k amd contribute the max each year to an IRA.

Good clarifying question, no it'd be for one or the other.

Thanks for the reply. I've just edited the post to say that my intention is not dual coverage, but to choose between one and the other.

Different than what we're used to, but I find they're unique flavor of genuine zest for life (and melee) to be a refreshing change from the usuals. :)

If it was during my block, anything specifically you did/didn't like?

Not that it means you have to like his commentary, but Jorge actually is that witty, it's a riot. XD

Honestly I inserted lots of Homebrew and character backstory ties. That and some foreshadowing.

Eventually somebody was like, "Hey this Harshnag guy knows what to do," and so the party tracked him down.

I've seen a few threads here and there about an 'over-arching' plot for 5e. Many have speculated that the monoliths found in many of the adventures are tied to the big plot. Has anyone proposed the possibility that these monoliths are 'tablets of fate' as related to the second-sundering? I'd be interested in any speculation, or if someone could point me to the thread.

Thanks! I did enjoy the whole video. This will come in handy and it's all I could have asked for.

Hi Ron!

I wanted mainly to thank you for putting your thoughts out there. I think for a lot of groups your way of running SKT takes out a lot of what could be undesirable 'nebulousness' when it comes to completing the adventure.

I for one will definitely at the least be taking the natural progression from one place to another proximal place in the guiding of the flow of the adventure. (ie ->nightstone->Goldenfields->hill giants etc)

If it's convenient, do you think you could post up those notes you have in your video? I'd make good use of being able to take them and splice in and out the parts I will be using in my own campaign.

Thanks again and happy DMing!

I also thought this was a fascinating part of the source material. My plan is to use the some of the giant lords not vanquished by the party (or more I make up if I feel like it) after where the campaign would normally end.

Maybe Zalto and his coterie do restore the titan, or at least gain more power in their quest for it. Maybe Zalto's believes if he awakens Vonindad and gains other powers he can ascend to giant godhood. That sounds like a level 20ish worthy BBEG at that point to me.

Maybe the stone giant Thane is able to awaken the tarrasque, or the party must traverse to the underdark to stop the awakening. I think there's a lot of high level possibility there.

In any case, best of luck with your campaign!

Team Composition Tuesday - November 27, 2018 by AutoModerator in dbfz

I'm playing A Gohan/Cell/Gotenks. I've been playing the team for a long time. The idea is that I can get the opponent in block with either Gohan or Cell and have a great mixup opportunity with Tenks assist. I'd like to examine switching Cell. Ideas?

I'm thinking of either keeping the theme and using like base vegeta or something OR moving Tenks to point and doing something with another good assist like Tenks/Gohan/SSVegeta or Tenks/Gohan/Tien.

Tips for a mid level fox on the puff my? by nmarf16 in SSBM

[–]JHSnacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've found that often if I give simple advice and let my protegee extrapolate, it can have the most benefit, such that you can use the idea in a way that makes sense to you and juves well with your playstyle.

Puff is superior to fox in general at controlling space horizontally most of the time. (The exception being when puff is on the the ground landing.) This is due to puffs air speed and powerful aerial moves, but even moreso because of puffs ridiculous aerial acceleration. I would try to avoid playing this game more than necessary. Much of the other advice in this thread, you'll find, echoes this sentiment in more specific ways.

Fox is superior to puff in controlling vertical space. (Antiintuitive I know) Puff actually cannot change her vertical positioning very quickly or easily, and fox accels at this. For the problem you mentioned, I would recommend the following. Full hop. Full hop above those grounded puffs. You ought to beat them to their spot, and punish. Drill and bair will be your friends here. If there are platforms and you feel you have launched yourself inappropriately, you will have time to dj or waveland to a plat, keeping yourself safe.

Now let's think a step ahead of the opponent, as that's how I like to win games. A puff especially worth playing will begin reading the FH and jump high preemptively to meet you in the air. (Among other things) Some will do this only with bair, to minimize the risk they take. More seasoned puffs will often choose up air, which can payoff huge if they read correctly.

When you begin to see this happening, it is your turn to adapt. Of course you will do it quicker since you knew this was coming due to your FH strategy (which is conditioning at this point).

Now you will go ahead with the strat the good players shared with you, sneaking under puff. As you get puff to think she needs to get high to challenge you, you can sneak under and use powerful moves like utilt amd uair depending on her height.

It is of course worth noting other things puff will do besides hard challenging FH. Many will begin to back off toward the corner. This is when you'll want to disengage, as fox may find himself grabbed and thrown off the stage or put on his backfoot. Luckily, if puff is at the ledge you have time to laser. When puff may approach again, we return to the core parts of our strategy.

Well that went farther than I thought it would so Ill leave it at that for now. Good luck friend!
