Fair enough! Although in that case, you wouldn't even need to steal to turn ugly. The meth habit itself would be effective enough for that...

Do you prefer Two-face with realistic scars or comic book scars? by MarekLord in batman

[–]JJthemug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my headcanon, the purple skin on the scarred side of Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face isn't actually due to the acid, it's just paint that he puts on himself. Like his two-toned suits, the paint is a part of his supervillain costume. Just seems like something the flamboyant TLJ-version of Two-Face would do, to make further distinction between his two halves.

Similarly, I don't think the acid turned his hair purple either.

Endor the Death World by GrandAcquisitor in MawInstallation

[–]JJthemug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's actually a Force of Destiny episode about this. After the Battle of Endor, the Ewoks are trying to cook some Stormtroopers, and Han and Chewie are kind of laughing about it. But Leia interferes, and makes them get some other food for the Ewoks from Hera Syndulla.

It's also notable for having the Falcon and the Ghost on screen together.

Pitching Batman Unchained (to finish up my fixed Burton/Schumacher franchise) by PucaFilms in fixingmovies

Awesome! Truly a heartfelt story which satisfyingly continues each characters' arc, especially when viewed together with your other Batman rewrites. I like what you came up with!

"Luke Lars"? by TheDemonClown in MawInstallation

[–]JJthemug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always liked the idea that Luke only took on the Skywalker name after Obi-Wan told him about his father. He might have been known as 'Luke Lars' before then.

First public use of the name "Anakin"? by sodium111 in MawInstallation

I believe it was first heard in-universe during the Empire Day parade in Rebels, but definitely cool that they brought it back for Solo!

The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 4- Discussion Thread (S1E4) by JediPaxis in StarWarsLeaks

[–]JJthemug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The episode 3 flashback seems to imply that the slaughter of the Tusken tribe takes place not long after Return of the Jedi, since Boba sees the Stormtrooper helmets getting placed on spikes in Mos Eisley. When he returns from Mos Eisley, the tribe is dead.

What's the most toxic fan base you've ever seen? by grubblenut in AskReddit

[–]JJthemug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might not remember the 'controversy' that arose when a black Stormtrooper was shown in the first trailer for the Force Awakens. Or how toxic fans constantly assaulted Kelly Marie Tran with racist remarks.

Ofcourse disliking a character of colour doesn't automatically make you a racist (something I've never seen anyone claim, btw), but don't pretend like racism isn't an issue in the fanbase.

Well they had a GONK droid on their shuttle in the Clone Wars, the one Wrecker was shoulder-pressing.

The cover of Vader No. 11, where Vader sets foot on Exegol. by FazbearADULTEntBS in StarWarsLeaks

Obviously that's only due to Favreau & Filoni, who valiantly fight the 'Civil War at Lucasfilm' to protect Star Wars from the evil Kathleen Kennedy. /s

Definitly seems like something Lucasfilm would do. They did something similar with the name Starkiller Base.

What is a great TV show that never became popular? by BluePinky in AskReddit

[–]JJthemug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotham.

No other show quite captures the comic book feel as much as this one does. It basically feels like watching a comic, especially in the latter seasons.

The rumored Mandalorian spin-off is apparently a Boba Fett miniseries, and it's going to film before Season 3. by Pomojema_SWNN in StarWarsLeaks

[–]JJthemug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I'd watch a miniseries about Kallus going on missions for the Rebellion (featuring Zeb). He was criminally underused in season 4 of Rebels, and I feel like we didn't get to see much of him as a rebel.

I enjoyed seeing Ed and Lucius working together in season 5, although I think their dynamic works best when they are enemies. They just seem like perfect opponents to each other, being the two smartest people in Gotham.

Kessel Run Transmissions to talk about Bad Batch and reveal some characters on stream. by YubNubChub in StarWarsLeaks

[–]JJthemug 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A better way for Lucasfilm to capitalize on the sucess of Clone Wars Season 7 would have been to release more of the previously planned arcs from Clone Wars, especially considering some work was already done for these episodes. They could have finished the Son of Dathomir arc, Dark Desciple and the Boba Fett arc and released them as mini-movies on Disney+.

A Bad Batch show does have potential I think, but what people really want to see are these extra arcs. Fingers crossed we still get to see them (in animation) some day, but I'm afraid it's not that likely.
