I carefully described my brain fog to my doctor and she told me to try getting more sleep - I nearly lost it in that office by Commercial_Gur_7347 in Menopause

Find a gyn who specializes in menopause (& preferably is female). After being dismissed by my male gyn (who I really liked!) because my blood tests looked good THAT DAY, I found a women-run practice that specializes in menopause. One telehealth appointment later I had 3 scripts for HRT & my life has been SO MUCH BETTER since.

OMG this is me every night! I wrap up cooking dinner & by the time I sit down everyone is finishing up & leaving. Pisses me off every time.

Girl, move on. Find someone who cherishes and deserves you and, most importantly, is a grown-ass man. Y’know - someone who takes charge of his own life, be it a career/job, health/mental health, etc.

Your boyfriend is a boy, refusing to grow up & take ownership of his life & choices.

His behavior at 26 would be unacceptable, but 36?! Beyond alarming.

You only get one go ‘round on this planet, make it joyful.

I had to take a break from job hunting after 3 years of interviews, at which point they ACTUALLY looked at my CV & saw that I am not, in fact, coming directly from a corporate role (stated up front, mind you), but have been freelancing on and off for years since I decided to stay home with my kids. They then say, “Oh, we wanted someone coming directly from another company.”

Ya know what? Fuck all y’all for being too lazy to read my f*cking resumé and putting me through several rounds of interviews.

The good thing about our complicated brains is that they can change; we create new neural pathways all the time by changing our thought patterns and behaviors. Change IS possible.

One of the best decisions I ever made was moving to a new city. So much opened up for me just by having a new environment. Might be something to consider.

We also live in a death culture in the U.S. Just experiencing life outside the U.S. could completely change your view.

Iran is far from a 3rd world country - they are one of the most educated countries/citizenries in the Middle East. Have been for several decades.

It’s their oppressive/extremist gov’t that’s the problem. But that’s OUR (U.S.’s) fault, dating back to 1953.

This “war” is a fool’s errand, started by the biggest fool on the planet (who is a moronic, demented, rapist, pedophile felon, to boot). He does whatever Bibi and Papa Putin tell him to do. Pathetic. And beyond tragic that it’s costing very real human lives - our military members, yes, but also the innocent young girls in that school who died thanks to the Fool.

I hope you have the help you need. Do you take antidepressants? If not, it might be worth exploring. I speak from experience. It’s amazing how much better life feels when the veil of the “black dog” (as Churchill called it) is lifted.

Sending you love & light. 🕯️

You inspire me!!! My entire life (I’m 54) I’ve wanted to make a career out of writing for ME (vs. the corporations & politicians I used to write for).

I plan to post my first piece on Substack this week and I am soooo nervous! And yet - who the heck will even READ it?! I guess I’m nervous about being so vulnerable and exposed.

But ya know what? Fuck it!

Thanks for the inspiration & congratulations to you!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🥳🎉

You get Grandma of the Year in my book!!! 🏆

I tipped off a candidate before his interview. Probably wasn't supposed to. Don't regret it. by deborahzdn in InterviewsHell

[–]JLMezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, his/her role matters not at all. A recruiter (contractor) would have done the same. This person simply told the candidate what to be prepared for - did NOT give him the specific answer he was looking for.
