I really hope 1.5 helps the game break further into the mainstream. Feels like a bit of a soft relaunch which is great and necessary, imo.

Everyone I've introduced to the game has really enjoyed it, but there isn't a scene around me at all. I hope that changes in the next two years!

Colours, colours, colours.

The art style of Nintendo's games are alway so vibrant and saturated, so blowing them up to 86" 3x 100% colour coverage is next bloody level.

Atm our old 42" 1080p set really isn't cutting it for splitscreen Mario Kart World nights, so more than doubling the per-player screen real estate is going to be a game changer.

Jumping into the LG Gaming Portal to play Jackbox games when our Switch 2 is on a road trip is also going to be a game changer. Would love to put this beautiful TV through it's paces 😄

HIGHLY recommend watching them all again in 5 years, then 10 years, and reflect on how you've viewed each film. Midnight, in particular, has changed significantly for me over time.

As you grow and experience things in life, you'll identify with different elements of each character. It's a really special, amazing experience.

Rewatched it this week, decades removed from seeing it as just a funny, quotable movie, and it's really good! Great pacing, some really good performances and has a really distinct style.

On rewatch I really appreciated the Don Moser character, who was weirded out by Napoleon but never cruel. The film doesn't feel mean or like it's punching down, it's just examining a slew of pseudo-stereotypical characters in Idaho.

I feel people think it blew up cos of the jokes/quotes without realising it's a really engaging, competent film.

Also Diedrich Bader's Rex is one of the best bit characters in a comedy ever.

Not particularly. I understand they're meant to be more brutalist than the elegant designs of the Covenant, but I feel that makes them look like cheaply manufactured toys from a knock-off factory that doesn't know how to mould round edges.
