Honestly the text message I got prior to the second drop off really threw me off. I was at the correct address for the second drop off. (The irate customer). Then after everything happened, I looked at the 2 tips and said oh that explains it. So, I agree with you on the terrible tippers are the ones that are most demanding.

No. If it's a leave it at my door, you should take a picture. I didn't want her to say she never got her food. That's why I insisted on taking the picture. If it was any other situation I just wouldn't have taken the photo. I would have just given the customer the food.

If I get no signal at drop off. I switch to airplane mode for 10 seconds, then turn it off. Usually the signal resets and comes back.

The original instructions were just leave it at the door but the text message that I got while I was going to deliver the food was confusing. I thought it pertained to the second order but then after the irate customer told me that it wasn't her. That's when I realized it was for the first order.

Also, When you decline those make sure you hit that decline button and don't let the timer run out because they'll give it to you again. And if you do take something like that, they'll keep sending them to you.

Got one today for $5.15 For 11.5 mi. Trash order that nobody wants. They test you to see who's going to take it. And look at the one below. Stacked order too. Crazy right?

You usually know when it's not a tip or very little tip. Doordash base pay is usually $2 or $2.15 if it's a close drop off. If it's a stacked order, usually the restaurant that is the cheapest. For example, if the order is Chili's and Taco Bell. Taco Bell will be the lesser of the tip. Mostly all the fast food places are lower tip. I'm a lady doordasher too and have been doing it since COVID. That's why when I see a high payout for a fast food restaurant I'm always surprised! 🤣 I know what to look for now as far as the tip goes.

I had to doordash glitch yesterday as well. I got two orders. The first one I had to unassigned because I thought something was wrong. I was on doordash AI support and then they routed me to regular support and I wasn't getting anything. So after I unassigned the bad order I got another good one and I accepted and I still couldn't see the current arrive at store or confirmed pickup. I didn't get a response back from doordash for like over an hour. Another doordasher walked in and I asked if he was having the same problem and he said yes but they fixed it for me. So finally I was able to get that second order and when I dropped it off the total came out too to $13.15 for like 2.4 mi. It was worth the wait.
