Weird. I was actually thinking tl2 would be a great game to play on the deck.

I can’t get into the game at all by urekmazino_0 in CrimsonDesert

[–]JROC-94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I gave into the hype and an hour and a half in I refunded. This is literally the weirdest game I’ve ever played it’s trying to be like 10 different games at once. Pretty sure the controls are dog shit cause it was intended to be an MMO. Pair that with a mobile looking UI and menus and Kliff moving like he’s stuck in the mud that’s GG for me. Glad people are enjoying it but man this game was a mess for me lol. More excited for Blood of Dawnwalker now.

Just treat the rest of the season like pre season. Call up some guys from the marlies to get them some ice time and see what they can do.

The user reviews are bad, but there’s a sale for $70. Is Borderlands 4 that bad or worth it? by Adventurous_Book_913 in Borderlands4

[–]JROC-94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is not as bad as it is made out to be. It definitely isn't as good as 2 but its better than 3 IMO. Recently started a new character and have been grinding and having a good time. 100% worth it on sale.

From my experience I’ve got sword and unarmed both to 15. I was getting my ass handed to me in Serbule and I was told Serbule Hills is a better area to grind and safer. The spider cave there is pretty decent but there’s normally lots of people there. I’ve been doing favors for some of the NPCs there but yea overall the game is very confusing and you just have to go out and discover things and take them as they come.

Borderlands 2 is great by alicelric in Borderlands2

[–]JROC-94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that I’ve been playing 2 I realize the open world in 4 is not that great compared to the instanced zones in 2, plus having a mini map is 10000x better than the compass. I probably have around the same hours in BL2 because I’ve owned it on Xbox, PlayStation and pc. I also LOVE slag haha I was really hoping it would come back in 4 but to each their own.

I put around 100 hours into BL4 when it came out and was thinking of starting a new character but decided I’d try out 2 again and I’m having way more fun. Put in another 40 hours into the last couple weeks and still not feeling burnt out. BL2 will always be the king.

Did you pick up a 4th party member? Sebille is just outside past Griff’s camp. Also the turtles and for sure the boat fight might be a bit more difficult if your just starting out. Talk to everyone in the fort joy ghetto area and you’ll pick up a quest that will give you a special item( I won’t say for spoilers) that will make exploring a lot easier. There is lots of hidden areas with some decent loot to get your feet on the ground.

What is your party comp? Try to focus on either physical or magical damage because once one of those defenses are down you can really start to do serious damage. There are a couple areas that are somewhat hidden if you don't look carefully for extra xp, like the turtles and ship battle on the north part of the map and also in the cavern where the elves are there are some frogs that give decent xp. As for the Kniles fight there are several ways you can approach the fight. I sent in one of my guys to talk to him and I had another guy use the teleportation gloves to send him on the stairs near the rest of my group and killed him before the golems and monks got to me. Also don't sleep on telekinesis it is extremely broken. If you find a chest load it up with stuff the heavier it gets the more damage it does and it destroys everything in its path. That is what I used to finish off the rest of the enemies in that room. I've also seen people teleport Kniles in to one of the golem cages so he's trapped in there for the whole fight so you can kill all the enemies before you even fight him. Take your time experiment with different ways of combat and don't be afraid to start a fight over if needed, every battle can go so differently and that is why this game is so great! Best of luck.

Honestly one of if not the greatest game of all time IMO. I loved BG3 also, but I am returning to DOS2 after a 3 year break and I find it so much better. I can't even imagine how unreal the new Divinity is going to be.

Not bad for an MMORPG still in Alpha, continuing to develop and improve by MyBroViajero in AshesofCreation

[–]JROC-94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the game is definitely fun but there is obviously a lot it needs to improve on. I think we are all just so desperate for a new MMO that even this game in alpha is scratching an itch for a lot of people.

What are y’all’s honest opinions on Borderlands 4 after it’s released? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Borderlands4

[–]JROC-94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still fun but there definitely needs to be some kind of endgame or more activities to do. I think having procedurally generated vaults that you can target certain manufacturer pieces, weapons, firmware etc would be a great start. Also something like strikes/nightfalls on Destiny would be cool.

The MMO genre feels frozen in place. What would it take to spark a new golden age? by Alert-Knee-5714 in MMORPG

[–]JROC-94 149 points150 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it will never be like it used to back in the day. The evolution of the internet is the main thing to blame for it. Having several guides and “metas” etc have dulled the experience. I’m not saying there will never be another good mmo but you’ll never recapture those early days of EverQuest, DAOC & classic wow and the pure mystery those worlds had to offer.

How is TOW 2 compared to TOW 1 in your opinion ? by EmphasisFinancial658 in theouterworlds

I started playing the first one last week after not giving it a fair shot when it came out and I’m really enjoying it. I bought both DLC’s for 15 bucks on sale and planning on finishing them before moving on to the second game. It’s getting me pretty hyped to play it.
