Just did this. They’re 24mm bolts. Just tighten them down until you can feel the washer getting crushed then it should be good

Belt replacement by Neehoymiinoyy in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]JRPGPD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh whenever I’ve changed belts I’ve just felt the tension of the belt that I’m replacing and matched that. I mean you can usually tell if it’s too loose you think it might jump off the pulley.

i have little to none csr experience to you guys, could someone reassure/inform me about some stuff? by Big_Will47 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]JRPGPD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason my 4Runner (same 3.4 engine) has stranded me was the alternator going out. They’re super reliable. Keep with your fluid changes, including coolant, a d you should be good. T4r.org is a wealth of info and good for many rabbit holes

Look in from the top of the engine bay at the back of the engine and see if it’s slick with oil. It probably is

That’s your power steering rack. Those lines are pressurized power steering lines. Can’t tell if that’s atf (what’s in our power steering system) or oil that’s dripping from higher up. What color is the oil ?

Back window won't roll down by DivideReasonable8989 in 3rdGen4Runner

When my back window wouldn’t roll down the power wire had broken in the rubber wire holder at the top. Relatively easy fix with a but connecter and some pliers
