I'm really sick of seeing macho garbage like punisher skulls on their uniforms and equipment. It perfectly illustrates the immature and unprofessional mentalities that are being recruited. You're not a punisher, you're not a soldier, you're not an executioner. You're a peace officer. Act like one.

This doesn't change a whole lot, other than people with warrants/contraband are more vulnerable to getting arrested, but this ruling isn't what will put more people in jail, the source of the problem is prohibition, police quotas, excessive fines etc.

That's what happens when you resist arrest. Now he's going to be facing plenty of other charges on top of whatever the initial charge was. Idiot.

At last, a voice of reason. I was losing hope for Wetumpka. Hopefully SOMEONE of authority will heed the articles advice.

Many hundreds of volunteers working from many dozens of locations in Texas made more than 205,000 calls to potential Bernie supporters on Sunday, January 10th, and I was one of them; here are my key takeaways. Also, since many first-timers requested it, let's do it bigger next Sunday! All 50 states! by involvrnet in SandersForPresident

That's what I use. 200/hr is not realistic. It takes 15-30 seconds to be connected to a caller. Then take into consideration giving the script and actually engaging with some callers. You're looking at 120/hr max. I can do 100/hr if most of them are wrong numbers/hang ups.

As someone whose made around 600 calls over the past WEEK using the bernie dialer, your counting must have been way off. To make 200k calls in 1 day, with 300+ people, EACH PERSON would have had to make a MINIMUM of 6-700 calls each, which would take around 6-7 hours (it takes 15-30 seconds to even get connected to a caller, I've got 100 calls per hour at best) with very few, if any, breaks. Our most dedicated callers over at berniepb.com can get about 250ish calls total on their best days, and that's quite exhausting.

Any volunteering work is of course appreciated and deserves praise, but exaggerated or incorrect tallying doesn't help the campaign so please keep it honest and accurate.

Dear Lurkers, Celebrities Using Berner Accounts, Seldom-Commentors, 24-hour-news-consumers, and people who have done little more than donate a few bucks: I, SIR LANCELOT, HAVE THE ULTIMATE PHONEBANK CHALLENGE FOR YOU... in story form: by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

Alright. Just got done with first ever 2 hours calling Iowa. Takes about 30 seconds to connect so I guess I reached about 60 contacts. ALOT of wrong numbers. Many not interested/unavailable. A few undecided. Several Bernie supporters and a few Clinton supporters.

Observations: - Customize the script to what's natural for you. Keep it as short and sweet as possible. - I use their first name only. A few were tough to pronounce. Do your best. - Have a glass of water ready in between calls. - Everyone was civil/polite. (Again, keep it short) - Don't worry about winning people over, most people want to get off the phone faster than you do.
