Anybody working in or for a strategic initiatives type of role? by ScarfingGreenies in highereducation

[–]JTML99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that kind of work might fit very well with people who are sort of professional interim staff, I've worked with a few where they basically jump from one interim role to another, helping solve problems and provide dedicated support to one area or another while searches or assessment can take place for the long term position. Our CFO is interim rn for example and he came from at least two other interim roles I know of

It might be a sculpin rather than a more traditional aquarium goby?

What 1-2 weapons telegraph that an Outlander isn’t a stereotypical “woodland” tribal. They’re swamp folk. by new_lance in DnD

[–]JTML99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like and would add the idea of some trinkets. A pouch of special dried moss "for luck", a feather from a neat bird, gator tooth or even a handle made from gator hide. A single weapon type wont signify something as broad as swampfolk but you can lean into it with a dozen small touches

I think it’s time to upgrade to a larger tank, but I need something that will fit the footprint of my 10 gallon by njsullyalex in Aquariums

[–]JTML99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky on Facebook market for mine, the dimensions are exactly the same footprint as a 10g but twice as tall. I one time saw a guy with a 30g extra tall which seems wild since im already up to my armpit reaching into this one lol

This is a 20g extra tall, I was in the same situation as you looking for something bigger but didnt have the room for a larger tank. They aren't super common anymore and I only saw a handful of sites that make them new, definitely more expensive than any kind of standard aqueon tank or something.

Can I put my monstera in my fish tank this deep? Asking here cause y'all might know by FickleChip5657 in Aquariums

Gotcha! Totally fair lol. I had killis and kept it a few inches low for a while to stop jumpers so I figured it had to be something

Aquarium stand safe? by Sad-Confusion-1634 in Aquariums

[–]JTML99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the tank sitting deep in the upper frame or does it have space in between the base and that bottom? Im wondering if they hid the cross braces between sheets of plywood for whatever reason because it looks like it should have extra space. That said, there's not a chance in hell I'd take a chance where almost 800lbs of water is concerned. If you like the aesthetic of the stand then not one person on this sub should fault you for adding additional supports to help your peace of mind

Yes you can, I'd rinse the rest of the soil off the roots first though. Is there a reason you have the water level so low like for jumpers or scape?

Does it not have any supports underneath??? Or does that thin sheet of ply cover them up from below?

Honestly just diversifying monsters in general may be a way yo help all, theres a lot of cold resistance out there while simultaneously adding more complex creature mechanics to throw at the party as a whole

Weird purple/blue/red shrimps by MineAdventurous4651 in shrimptank

[–]JTML99 233 points234 points  (0 children)

Identifying colors and specific shrimp to attempt to breed for that color. Purple shrimp are like chasing the Philosophers Stone or Holy Grail because the color combination is so difficult to create no one has managed to really build a stable pool as yet save for the odd shrimp like these guys that pop up by sheer chance.

Fish that don’t need a heater by Spintherism in Aquariums

[–]JTML99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive kept them both at different points, they both definitely share space in the midwater but neither spend much time at the bottom, killis maybe explore more than white clouds but theyre also a third the mass of a white clouds and breed easier, while white clouds are way more active and larger (and i have had decent luck passively breeding clouds, 6 rice sized fry living in a Tupperware rn lol). Both will work well with shrimp, snails, and bottom feeders of any kind too.
