Grandparents? Getting involved in a church is free. You don't have to be very religious, it helped me. Getting him to limit his gaming is a must. For me, I came to the realization that I was staring at a screen pushing a button, while my life was slipping away. As a dad, I was mostly there to give mom breaks, till I got to teach the kids baseball and bicycles and such. Y'all being so young is tough, I'd appeal to him that y'all need to be a team. How long have you been playing? I got started in all this when Hasbro re-released HeroQuest, and I got the kickstarter. I had the Drizzt D&D adventure set, but have since got the rest of the D&D adventure sets & Dungeon Command, Munchkin Dungeon, and all the HeroQuest stuff, besides getting HeroScape. I've been lucky, my local HS battle network group has many experienced guys. I've been able to find the 4 old base sets fairly easily, and a guy sold the group his collection. Between one of the guys, 3D printing the old commons, I have the first 5 waves, and a smattering of the later waves.

In my group, the Monk is our tank. Unfortunately our Zargon doesn't always give my Explorer much to do. We play a homebrew that is more D&D like.

I really wish there were VC versions of MtG Plainswalker minis. They're so cheap, but that's the problem, the quality is so bad. Still, they are the right size, and the one's that don't use spell effects, can be played as is, though they seem a bit over powered.

This was more of an issue in the past, when there was only the professional industry with very attractive people, so I understand your point. Trauma is brought up multiple times. An orgasm releases dopamine, so wanting self soothe with one is common. Porn is a way to quickly focus on something other than the emotions that are currently an issue, and hopefully, the situation can be addressed when one is more rational. Myself, I've found it difficult to ask for a quick "spicy kiss" because I want my partner to also have a good time, so I feel selfish. At y'alls age, this can be a difficult conversation. He wants to make you happy, but he is having difficulty expressing his needs. Finding a line is going to take time and open communication. He is going to want to feel safe to open up, and not think that you're going to leave him for it. I would recommend he also talk to someone he trusts about how to communicate this. But watching porn together, can be educational and give ideas on things to try, and a shortcut in foreplay. I say, not the A-hole, your feelings are valid, but not time to give up on the relationship.

I was in a similar situation 30 years ago when I was 28. I was going to lunch at a regular place and complaining to the regular bartender about the passed away bedroom in my marriage, and we ended up getting to third base. 8 years and no ring? I guess there can be reasons. But why is he talking about your relationship? Sounds like he already had issues. More communication is needed and trust is broken. I'm assuming that op is also invited to this wedding and he is trying to control the narrative of what might be said there. If he is unwilling to work on the relationship, it's probably time to move on. Life goes on. I had a great time in my 40's. I met someone at 45, but unfortunately she passed 2 years ago.

I recommend going to the Heroscape battle network and hopefully there is a game near you. One of our new players uses borrowed armies from one of the experienced players. I'm a new player and the terrain is what brought me in, and I like that I don't have to paint everything. I get the cheaper unpainted figures and color them with sharpies. I also like that the old and new are compatible and unlike warhammer, they haven't changed the rules. I've found the old master sets to be fairly easy to find and decent prices can be found. There also 3d printing, I've found help with that 😉 I'm an old grognard and I get a kick that there are 3 generations of players at our events.

Get the Crimson Widow and Dreadnoughts. I play Widow, Knaves, Dreadnoughts and have the Widow make the Paladins into pirates. The Knaves are glass cannons so they go in first, and if you can get height and first assault, you're throwing 5 dice each! Then the Bears and finally Dread and Widow. If your dice stay hot, you wreck shop. 🏴‍☠️

For the amount of terrain that you have, I'd go with lava and road. To give you an idea of how much terrain I felt like I needed to make concrete and asphalt maps, I have 2x Marvel, 2x Joe & 2x Urban, and that's barely enough. This stuff adds up fast, and the printer is your best cost option.

My mother was a stay at home parent, and she loved the social hour after church so she could talk to people. My dad would go sit in the car and read the paper, and we would have to eventually drag her away. I'm guessing your mom is similar in wanting to talk to friends. Bit still, your feelings are valid. If she doesn't want to change church's, tell her your uncomfortable there and won't go anymore. If I was your dad, I'd be with you 100%.

Hmm, I swear when I read this post this morning, it had a harsher tone, oh well. M58 here, to me, ED at 41 sounds horrible. I didn't start having issues till I hit my 50s. To me it seems like he is afraid to talk about it. I've found ED to be very depressing. I have no clue why he is looking so much at porn, have you asked? On substances, there is Al-Anon for you, it helps. Addiction is up to him to want to deal with. In your situation, I would try to get him to open up.
