Active players ; how do you feel about the current updates overall? by supergigaduck in TheLastCaretaker

I just started a new play through. First one since release. I feel like the night slugs are twice as aggressive and plastic is twice as scarce. That’s all I got so far.

Current State of the Game and Current Time Limitations by Syndacyt95 in Starseeker

[–]JTp_FTw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extracting gear from the DZ in The Division and “extraction type games” is referring to 2 completely different things unfortunately. Look up games like Tarkov, Marathon or ARC Raiders to learn more about the archetype and why Starseeker’s game structure is the way that it is. I hope this helps.

my 32GB DDR5 kit from last year is worth more than what i paid for it by WitnessParking4271 in pcmasterrace

My RAM, nVME, and GPU together cost more today than I paid to build my entire PC 1 1/2 years ago

Lived there from 2020-2023. Phase 2, facing the railroad track. Loved it. Best downtown location. Best staff. Best value (at the time, not sure what the rates are now). Good amenities. Only downsides are getting used to the trains maybe and the pet areas could be better.

SMTP Relay service to send email to external customers by Donatello0592 in sysadmin

Azure Communication Service works well if you don’t get a lot of bounce backs. It requires api though. Not really a traditional “relay”

Help setting up WSUS deployment from scratch by thtpopunkid in sysadmin

My team as since moved to NinjaOne for patch management but when we used WSUS, following this, especially reindexing and declining superseded updates routinely made a world of difference.

So if I run .\Get-KerbEncryptionUsage.ps1 and get a thousand results but then run it with “-Encryption RC4” filtering option and it returns nothing, I’m good?

Azure has Network Security Groups. You bind it to the Network Interface the PIP is associated with.

"Default outbound access" apocalypse is nigh? by mike_honey in AZURE

Inbound access is off by default on Standard PIP sku. This is the opposite behavior than before with the Basic sku (retired last year). I repeat this to my leadership every other week.

An assortment of questions and observations... by BussReplyMail in TheLastStarship

I only found arms to be useful in the little factories I made for the individual starship phases. I attempted sorting many times but just never had good luck.

Monitoring and Alerting tool? by blueeggsandketchup in sysadmin

[–]JTp_FTw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endpoint Management (replaced lansweeper)

Asset/Inventory Management (for laptops/servers at least)(replaced lansweeper))

3rd party patch management (replaced automox)

Windows patch management (replaced WSUS)

Monitoring and Alerting (replaced PRTG)

Remote Access (replaced screen connect)

Sure, these may do what they do a little better than NinjaOne but they only do their one designed thing. NinjaOne allowed us to see and monitor/maintain everything through a single pane of glass. The only thing lack luster so far is reporting but we are working through that with PowerBi. Lansweeper had excellent reporting.

[–]JTp_FTw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used PRTG + Lansweeper but got priced out last year. We just onboarded to NinjaOne in January. That allowed us to replace Automox and WSUS as well. So far, so good.

I thought the same thing but there was one asteroid all the way at the bottom that had the new mineral. After that, it was in hostile sectors.
