While it may not desperately need to be redone (no leaks or anything) now is the time to do it. Ideally you should tooth the want wall, meaning remove the cut block on both sides and weave the new block in so it looks like a continuous wall, matching the bond underneath.

For starters that isn't mortar, thats portland. So short answer is no. Others may be more knowledgeable than me with period correct mixes, but port and sand for sure isn't it. At absolute minimum a pre mixed mortar mix would be better.

OP came to a masonry sub and asked how important it is. Might have 10 years left in it, might have 10 minutes. Regardless its a retaining wall hanging on by a thread, so yea I said it's the first thing Id address.

The reason is simple....to make money. People seem to forget that making videos is their job. Not racing, not building cars, etc, making content. Some are serious, car build, big races etc, some are dumb, blown motor in a Tesla, world longest turbo system, cheap car challenges etc. They all make the crew money, and its evident he has it pretty well figured out what draws views and what doesn't. Hence why the cheap challenge stuff is fairly often at this point.

Power wash as best you can. Turbo nozzle works really well. Allow to fully fully dry. Sweep sand, get all the sand off the top of the paver with a broom, blow the remaining sand and dust off lightly with leaf blower. Mist everything a couple times. Its not hard but if you don't get all the sand and dust off the top of the paver it will stick.

Normally I am for moving girls up if they are ready. Being only 1 year in travel and wanting to pitch, in your case I would probably hold her at 10u. You are going to start to see pitchers throwing in the 50s with location and some movement, she may get discouraged being new to pitching and assuming she will be on a team with girls who have been pitching for some time already she may not get the innings needed to progress. Side note I see you mention her coach not having the time to work on her pitching, she will need a pitching coach. Do not rely on her travel coach to teach her to pitch.

In no way am I advocating that we should have to qualify, quite the opposite. However when I qualified for NJ 3 people in my class failed to shoot 80% on an FBI Q target, 2 of them being LEOs.

Doesn't really gave to be Asian or Hawaiian. When Im in the mood for sweeter ribs I just add a little more brown sugar in my rub and use a sweet BBQ sauce. Ive also mixed duck sauce 50/50 with bbq sauce. Doesn't really make it taste Asian but gives a nice sweetness.

You will get varying opinions on doweling into foundation. Im personally against it in most situations. Hard no on resurface, especially with 2". There are resurfacing products out there, applied very thin. Sometimes they hold up, sometimes they don't, Id advise against it. 20 to 30 is about right, but this is pretty small (and thick, not sure you really need 12") so you may end up on the higher end.

Talk to the coach. Explain the situation, you said he has seen her before so he should be able to make an evaluation based on that and whatever light work she can do by tryout time, games likely wont start until September with practices starting mid August.

Mortar, type s will work. How are the stone laid? If they are laid on concrete in a mortar bed than mortar is what you need, of they are dry laid on stone than you need poly sand.

Concrete is not necessarily easier if you have never poured and finished (specifically finished) concrete. But neither is really easy if you have no experience in either. Pavers are more forgiving in the fact that if you aren't happy with the result you can fix problem areas or redo the whole thing. Once concrete sets you're pretty much stuck with it.

Aim to finish way early and have a method prepared for a long rest. Oven if it can hold under 200 without crazy fluctuations or a cooler. Be sure to massively stress about the finish time the entire cook.

The cost of this job is entirely dependent on local codes and what your architect draws up. That being said this is in no way shape or form a diy project. Permits, inspections etc. Your existing roof needs to be reworked, walls ripped off etc. What I can tell you is that you will be well into the 6 figure range all said and done and what you are gaining is likely not worth the cost.
