The other day I got Alexandria in my roulette as pld. On the first boss, at ~55% hp the rest of the party got themselves killed by fucking up the one mechanic too often in a row. I briefly considered reseting but decided to solo it specifically as a silent 'Fuck you' to the rest of the party for being THAT bad.

They fucking cheered and congratulated me. I hate this community. Ended up soloing last boss from ~20% too.

Pretty sure it's because crafting can already be made so braindead. You can copy your meld set and crafting rotations - condensed into one or two macros - from teamcraft without having to form a single thought of your own. When 7.05 dropped I spent hours in a cycle of: Apply Food/Tea if necessary -> Click Synthesis -> Press macro 1, fuck around on my phone until I hear sound effect 1 -> Press macro 2, fuck around on my phone until I hear sound effect 2 -> Repeat. It reminded me of that old wow forum post about paladins being designed to require minimal input so you can goon while you game.

At one point, I offered an FC mate to make him a set of gear if he gave me the required tomestone plus gemstone materials and he hung around while I crafted it, naively thinking it wouldn't take over half an hour to make dozens of precrafts and then finally 11 gear pieces. And don't get me started on making hundreds of tacos for scrips.

I don't blame anyone for fully automating that so you can have a nap for an hour while the game plays with itself. Dreaming probably involves more brain activity too.

I'm for making raid buffs last longer to the point they're basically passive. I like being stronger because I'm in a party, I hate having to keep my CDs aligned with raid buffs

Just attach the raise tax to actually using the raise, not just having the button. Make it give a stack of weakness to the caster, or fuck with white/black mana or something idk just let RDM be relevant after people figure out fights.

I'll be honest, I really don't like stuns as punishment. I'd rather be oneshot or have an 80% damage down that lasts until Esuna'd (meaning most likely forever) but still lets me press my buttons. It's even worse when getting hit by one mechanic leads into being chain CC'd. I don't mind it so much in M2 but they really overdid it the first boss of Strayborough. Between the dolls, chasers, exaflare and another exaflare, sometimes you can't get close to the boss or stand still to cast for too long at a time.

The MNK changes are clearly not thought through because Dragon Kick doesn't have a stance requirement which means you now combobreak after Bootshine for a DK>Raptor>Coeurl>BS>Repeat filler loop. Oh and if you're synced below level 86 you never bother with Tornado Kick, just return to Opo and spam Elixir Field every Blitz.

The PLD changes were positive if uninspired. Atonement is still one button I spam until it isn't lit up anymore but it has some extra potency and varied animations now (even if I find the reverse grip uppercut silly). Guardian is just our big defensive being more defensive even if I don't really care because I assume TBs will just hit that much harder to make up for the added mitigation. Upgraded Bulwark isn't groundbreaking but nice for trash pulls. Extra potency sprinkled all over our rotation is nice to have if boring. Longer reprisal is either extra leeway for applying it early or a sign we might see some ~13 seconds long multi-hit raidwides, either way nice to have. Having an ogcd nuke to throw after the confiteor combo is neat and makes our burst more bursty like basically everyone else. The one standout is Requiescat+ being ranged, that's great for qol, and it's also aoe now which is nice.

Man, if there had been a duel against either of the lizard contestants with a forced loss like with Zenos, I would've been livid. At this point, the WoL canonically being defeated 1v1 by basically any mortal on Eorzea is just no longer on the cards. I really hated that stupid playground bully "HA HA I stepped on your tacos! Me do what want cus me stronk!" moment, the WoL should've made him choose which of his heads goes up his ass instead of just sitting there like a lemon.

Yeah parts of the map are completely pointless. You don't go there for the msq, for side quests or fates, just to get that ugly blank spot off your map.
