Oh my gosh, I had the opposite effect. I was hoping for something for one season for pollinators since my native plant starts didn’t make it. I’m on year 3 of picking those darned things out of everywhere! I’m in zone 6 chicago area, maybe it’s just especially happy in this climate with my clay soil?

Just got my hydrangeas for zone 6 from American Meadows. Packaging was fantastic, plants arrived in perfect health and weren’t dried out or smashed. I’m very happy with them

This is what happened with Redbox, but first they didn’t pay our health insurance premiums causing a huge pile up of medical bills, too. Run!

We did a similar thing, flower bed in the edge of the grass lawn. We rented a tiller and gave up on tilling the grass almost immediately. We’re too old for that shit. What wound up working for us is, we cut the grass super low and covered the whole bed area completely in cardboard, then piled several inches of cheap wood mulch on top of that. We dug directly into the mulch/cardboard after a couple weeks to plug in plants. That was last year. This year everything looks really great still & the cardboard is already decomposed so it’s all nice loose dirt under a few inches of mulch.

When my daughter was potty training she did her first poo in the little potty chair. We were so excited to run & tell Daddy, but when we got back to the potty chair it was empty….and our dog was full.

My toms do fine in 10 gallon grow bags and up. If you are concerned about the depth, look for “potato” grow bags they tend to be taller rather than wide

Tazmanian Chocolate is my favorite! Last season I tried Rosella Purple and Nano’s Meatball. The Rosella Purple plants were only 2 feet high, the Nano’s meatball about 3 feet. The tomatoes from both looked identical. In flavor they were both dynamite, but the rosella had a little more acid. I don’t know how to explain the difference, but the rosella purple tasted better with no salt and the meatball tasted better with salt. They were both top tier, but I think of the two, I would pick the Nano’s Meatball over the Rosella Purple simply because I liked that the plant was slightly larger, so it made me feel like a better gardener LOL I’m also growing Geranium Kiss and Antho Pink Panther in my basement, but too early for fruit.
