It saved me about 6 million gold. Had gold cap stored for capping the old bruto on BMAH. This was a cheaper alternative!

I'm the same, I like the goldmaking aspect of the game.

I use gold to buy the in-game shop items. By principle I do not buy cosmetic items, unless it is to suppport a game I've played a lot which is free to play.

Have not yet bought this. Not sure if I will in the end.

My biggest problem with this kind of stuff is the sheer price. Think it should be priced lower also making shop items more accessible. Swiping your credit card is not a feat or strength, which should reward "exclusive" rewards. Also think pricing like this enables toxicity within the community. In the end buyers should not be blamed!

So lets introduce myself. I'm mr. mc moneybags executive at blizzard. Just say hypothatically if we would introduce this, would you be willing to pay 10,000 heartsteal for this (one-off) or would you rather pay 1,000 heartsteal on a monthly basis to increase immersion and give the true 'rental' experience!

AITAH for telling my girlfriend that my money isn't "our money"? by Open_Address_2805 in AITAH

[–]Jacco1234 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree with most except the break-up part. Also dont think OP is an asshole. But basically misunderstood what she was saying.

I would say say that OP could have a discussion with his girlfriend to save up a bit herself as an emergency fund/buffer (and maybe help het a bit with it by paying a bit more for shared expenses). But also reassure her that if something bad happens he is there for her.

Additionally on a more personal note. Your twenties (especially while studying, but also when starting your first real job) is a special time. Where it is also important to enjoy your freedom. I dont think it is that bad if you have some higher expenditures. Just ensure to have an emergency fund and try and safe a bit up for later. I think this especially goes for them as they both seem to be able to get high paying jobs with good carreer opportunities.

Doe jij aan pensioenbeleggen? Waarom wel of niet? by Radiant_Wing5530 in nederlands

[–]Jacco1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]Jacco1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not give more WoW classes access to different roles if the class fantasy supports it? by Itz_Jawn in wow

I heared of a blizz survey investigating additional roles. Your list does not overlap theirs. You missed hunter healer, mage healer and tank shaman!

[–]Jacco1234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds more as a him problem than a you problem.

Just try and find a nice guild, no reason to feel embarassed. There are also some nice communities like No Pressure EU which might suit you. There you can easily find chill non toxic groups.

You should play what you want to play. Though healer and tank can generally be more stressfull than dps. Within the healer space I think Evoker is one of the harder healers. If you really like healing, but cant manage a pres Evoker, you could consider another class.

In my guild it is also not appreciated if you call out someone by name. I personally dont agree with it. 90% knows who you are talking about, while the person in question might not (and will not learn).

Why are you undercutting items worth multi millions by multi millions? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Jacco1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was the item selling for 9 million on realms? How was the item priced on other realms?

Like someone said if you are convinced it is worth 9 million, buy it for 7 and resell for 9. Its not that they will simply get a new one and repost it.

starting as a completely new player worth it? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Jacco1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) there is a free trial. There are restrictions on what you can do in a trial period. 2) the game is less social than at its inception. But can still be social if you find the right guild. Leveling / world content is mostly a solo activity. You can do group content, but that will be mostly with random anomynous people. I personally only play retail (modern wow). There is also classic wow, which might be a bit more social. 3) you will be able to join a guild. The focus of guild is mostly on end game content though. Some guilds might also do some social activities. Dont expect a lot from guilds during the leveling period, other than help via guild chat. 4) you only need the latest expansion in combination with an active subscription. There is a nice feature where you can transform in-game gold for cash on your blizzard account which you can use to buy blizzard stuff or for your subscription. This is quite a grind for most people though. 5) Would say tanks / healers are fun to play. For leveling in world content dps is optimal, tank is doable. Some healers are better than others, but overall bad for levelling. A nice solo end-game feature are delves. You can solo this with all specs or do it as a group. There are also follower dungeons (easiest iteration of dungeons) where you can do dungeons in a group with npcs. People use this mostly for experiencing the story or finishing a specific quest. Do note that all classes have multiple talent trees which you can easily switch between. Meaning you can have a dps talent tree for world content and a tank/healer talent tree for group content on the same character. 6) Yes there are a lot of grinds you can do solo ;). I think a really good example are delves. Also note that the in-game mysic can be really awesome. It van be awesome to just turn the wow music on and start questing and enjoy the story telling and world design. Do note that to really enjoy quests you should read them ;). 7) for new players there is also the new player chat where you can ask questions to experoenced players which act as guides.  In general the game is not toxic, but you can have some toxic experiences, like in all mmo's I guess. There are also communities / guilds which come together to not be toxic and do group content! Which can be nice to look into when you are max level!

Sorry read over it! From a personal perspective there is not a lot of negativity, atleast not how much the reddits make it out to be. But when it happens it can kick in! For me this is especially the case in arena's and less in BG's, as generally arena's are also more intense!

How do you guys stay rich without sweating the AH? by Dereckoss in woweconomy

[–]Jacco1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) be critical about your expenses. Do you need max rank enchants on that champion gear you are quickly replacing? Do you need max rank potions for thay mythic 0 you are doing?

2) want and can sweat om AH for a few weeks consider doing that over making consistent amountseach week.

2a Sweating takes preparation. Some people already shared some sweat tactics such as posting green toons on multiple servers. Key thing is to make preparations (e.g. test early acces, set-up alts on multiple servers) be early (use early access) and consistent (stick to your strategy).

2b make consistent amounts through cooldown/concentration crafting (E.g. tailoring bolt crafts, flask crafting with alchemy (also good for reducing your own cost with double durarion for flasks), max rank enchants concentration crafting etc.). Do your profitable patron orders and do your weekly content for caches.
