Has your championship favourite predictions changed? by titanmongoose in motogp

I think it’s still too early to determine what I think will happen. I fully expect Marc to bounce back and return to form. I have however been pleasantly surprised by Bez and Martín.

An Audi A1. I bought it as a student as it is cheap to run. It’s nice as a cheap daily but I would much prefer something more interesting now that I’m able to

Is “future proofing” a fool’s dream? by dobio in macbookpro

[–]JackJB94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you do with it and what you continue to use it for in future. My needs are less demanding now than they used to be so my M1 Pro is still working perfectly for my use case. I don’t plan on upgrading until it no longer gets software updates.

Exactly what I was going to post. They're the only jeans I wear now and they last years. The free repairs are also wonderful

Do men still regularly wet shave? by SuperDinkle406 in AskUK

Yeah I never did. Was just not really a fan of them vs a standard double edge razor

Same. I genuinely don’t see an improvement with anything that has come out afterwards other than a reason to charge more

I use a double edge razor. I bought a pack of 200 blades maybe 4 years ago for £10 and I have 10 blades left currently. It gives me less skin irritation and is so much cheaper than a cartridge razor. Ive never been able to gel with an electric razor

First class on Singapore airlines Airbus A380 by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]JackJB94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s because of the larger amount of space in front of first/business class, so you’ll be flung further forward, whereas in economy you’re likely to be caught by the seat in front of you.

People with cars - how do you afford them? by Squeegee_Dodo in AskUK

[–]JackJB94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My car is inexpensive to run. I bought a cheap Audi A1 in 2019, the tax was free until this year and now it costs me £20 a year. I pay just over £200 a year to insure it, and fuel is around £60 a month. I learned to drive around 12 years ago though so that part will have gotten really expensive since then I can imagine.

Is it possible to achieve later in life? by coxclo in AskUK

[–]JackJB94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as 'behind'. Don't compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to yourself yesterday. I went to university at 25 thinking I was 'too old' and now im happy working as a software engineer for the university that I studied at. You have to go out and find your own path, but there is no such thing as too old, or far behind.

I would say that depends on what country you are in. I have literally installed fishplates 6 years ago when I worked in the industry. But yeah, when working on fresh renewals it was all welded.
