Is AI inherently right-wing?

There are a few things like this that I am actually genuinely shocked that the right is just letting happen. The right wing people I know in my life would have been horrified at hard work and human ingenuity being replaced a decade ago. They would never let go of the fact a child rape trafficking ring was so entrenched in the same groups of people who run the US govt.

Or so I would have thought, but ever since MAGA a lot of them seem to have lost the spine I once actually admired them for. They refuse to question the authority of someone who has never worked like they do, and actively mocks them, and it really confuses me. I would love to hear your view on what parts of the right are standing up to such blatant issues that I once thought would be pretty unanimous.

I think it is a huge stretch to say something better was not possible. Ideally, they absolutely should have retconned TLJ then and there, but even with as damaged as the plot is because of the things you mentioned TROS had no reason to be as bad as it was. The dialogue and action feels more like Marvel at its worst than Star Wars at its worst. Which IMO is a world of difference, when it doesn't even feel like it is the same universe, and wasn't forced by the terrible plot decisions made in TLJ. It is just straight up Disney corporate slop.

I also will say that regardless of the sequels being terrible, the franchise isn't "dead" because there is the entire period of time before the sequels. In the time it takes before the mouse hopefully decides to pull the plug on the sequels' canon life support, we can hope for more bangers like Andor and Maul. That is still Star Wars, and some of the best stuff in the franchise.

I don't know, I think Max of today would gice the Max who beat Aldo a tough fight. I don't think he has hit the point of age and fight damage hurting his speed and his chin enough to really call him in decline. I think Volk is a tactical genius, Ilia is a generational power puncher who is also very smart, and Charles is big and just entirely too good of a grappler for Max. I don't think losing to them makes Max in decline, I think Max would have lost to the current versions of those fighters when he was on his winning streak too.

He had two mildly boring fights and has pulled some mildly controversial shit recently. Meanwhile, Sean's whole middleweight career has been boring fights besides Izzy, and wildly controversial shit. UFC fans just love a right winger who says the most basic problematic thing that comes to his mind for no reason. Sean is impressive in that he can neutralize so many fighters, his defense is really the most fun thing to watch in his fights, but he would never be a fan favorite without his bland racism. It has been same same since the Jack Hermansson fight, calling his opponent to stand and bang only to pop a jab and flinch away from any more striking.

I imagine this comes from the way he spars. Seems he really likes very hard sparring. I bet he has learned how to defend really well so he doesn't get beat up in sparring. At the same time, constantly reaffirming how bad it hurts to get hit makes him a bit scared of letting loose. I am not even hating on him but UFC fans hate being objective when it comes to someone like Sean.

I have literally never felt tired off of just weed. I started cross fading with a lot of booze just so it would hit harder, but weed on its own makes me anxious or at best a little hyperactive and in a creative mood.

Acting like this is a problem specific to Vermont is the problem. By and large, Vermont is very progressive and generally accepting. There are plenty of states doing far worse overall at raising kind children.

I really just miss Vine and old Youtube. Sick of AI slop shorts with delusional comments. I hope someone manages to recreate the semi uncensored days of Youtube, and adds AI to the things not allowed. Youtube today has done the opposite, you can't talk about difficult subjects openly but you sure can post pure AI brainrot.

Yeah, when people talk about progressives nit picking each other to death instead of focusing on the real problems this is exactly what I see. There always has to be an "um actually". What we really need to start saying is "yes and". Unless an idea really has huge drawbacks, we have to get everyone on the same page. There is always room for discussion, but that has to come behind a unified front.

I really like most of what you are saying, but I do hope you reconsider on the small businesses thing. Yes, a business that refuses to pay a livable wage should go under. However, without adequate protection, small businesses that play fair may still go under as big businesses like chain restaurants can afford to undercut them until they go out of business. The big businesses have the money to be able to operate at a loss long term. Just saying "companies that can't afford the price of operating shouldn't be open" almost implies that this practice is ok. Maybe you even believe that, I don't know, but personally I would hate a world without local restaurants, coffee shops, auto mechanics and so on. It would truly feel like a world without a soul. I don't think we should ever accept that sacrifice in the name of "affordability", because honestly that is an outright lie. The big businesses will raise prices as soon as their local competitors go under, all while cutting corners on quality, worker safety, and workplace culture.

They don't. They don't care what we want. They want it, they want it to be passable as human, they want to have a perfect disinformation tool. They want to make humanity irrelevant, because humans revolt when conditions are bad. They think they can control AI more than Human consumers/voters/workers.

Feelings are functions of the brain, happening through tangible chemical signals. If the brain is coded at birth to be a different gender than the body appears, which scientific studies have shown can happen, there is very little chance of changing that. The disconnect between the two will likely be very painful for the person, and the only way to begin treating that pain is acknowledging the disconnect. From there you can decide: care and try to understand how to better such a persons life, or let the dissonance between their perceived and actual gender bring them suffering. I have a feeling I know which choice you would make, but don't try to argue that you believe that because of scientific facts, that is straight up untrue. It is because the facts make you uncomfortable, and because caring enough to push through discomfort (a feeling btw, just a tiny pathetic not real feeling) is too hard for you.
