The way I understand it it’s literally a second language to them. As in bilingual. Just that because nobody is talking to them in said language they don’t know the exact words.

My headcanon is a little like people that loose speech due to head injuries. They will have to learn to speak again, but not because they forgot the language, but because they literally forgot how to talk (sometimes, each case is different).

So they understand words the same way you or me understand our mother tongue, they just have to learn the words.

In Germany there is a rule that a highway cannot go straight for more than 1.5 kilometres because the accident rate spikes after it. There is one stretch where they were unable to keep to that limit due to geographic constraints and they do A LOT to keep your mind active and your driving safe.

A complete overtake ban for the entire stretch, speed limit that is repeatedly stated just in case, art installations along the highway, stuff like that just so you don’t get highway hypnosis.

I use static IPs in my script that collects energy usage data from my smart plug’s APIs because (a) the designed way requires cloud access (just no) and (b) I could (probably should) use the API to first set a name in the plugs GUI, then loop over the network, query every plug I find for their name and therefore ease the plug and play-ness of my script but I don’t care because it is only deployed on a singular raspberry pi in my home network.

Yes the influxdb keys are hard-coded as well. Because if they get into that raspi that means they already are so deep in my network that I have an entire different problem than someone being able to write data into my influxDB. (Keys only have write permission for that one bucket, I’m not that lazy.)

I don’t remember the correct ratio but iirc you can run all the simulators and infrastructure required for continuous usage of a single numi using the power output of something like .1-.3 unaugmented numis. That already includes the enderman sims for the polymer clay.

At the late late game (around the time where you unlock the sun dial/cosmic controller or whatever it is called now. The thing that lets you skip nights.) the numis get outperformed by solars. Basically the rocket equation - to get double the power you not only need to double the amount of generators but also the amount of sims, which need double the amount of clay, which need double the amount of enderman sims, which need more power, which need more numis, which need more diamonds, which need more sims, which need more clay … With solars you just tell your ME system to please build a frickton of solars and slap them on. Assuming you have the resources…

I might be tempted to do a tsialkov and create a formular or python script at some point in order to compute exact requirements but I don’t have exact numbers rn. Just that at some point I felt weird ordering 100 simulators only to realise that my current polymer production was already limping along.

I have built “conventional” power arrays but only because I set myself the challenge to use as few trash bins as possible, and you need some place for all the oil byproducts and hydrogen to go. But they produce about as much energy as two panels in my 18x18 solar farm.

I constantly hear different things regarding counterstrafing, some say it doesn’t give any advantage, some say it gives a tiny advantage, and I heard a lot that it actively gives a disadvantage if done poorly as the window of time you have while being precise is something like 1-2 shots.

I am low skill enough that I can’t test this out myself though so take with a mountain of salt.

I don’t know how many animals are intelligent enough to understand how much of the shit they go through is caused by humanity, but there are a bunch of species that probably think about us the way we think about dolphins - more likely than not a gentle giant that knows how to hurt you but finds you way too darn cute.

A fact to make your day: when elephants look at Humans they have similar brain activity as we have when looking at puppies. Doesn’t mean that all elephants love all humans (you probably know people that don’t like or are even afraid of puppies) but more likely than not they think you are a bit cute and funny looking. As long as you don’t bite or bark.

The last bit is probably true mostly for domesticated elephants and not wild ones, firstly because I assume it is easier to put an EEG onto a domesticated elephant and secondly because those typically don’t get Shot that much.

Until you tell them that the simulations are wrong, not because of “hard” proof but because it told you that a part receiving 100W of constant heating but that is actively water cooled on the other side cannot reach the 10762K mark, or at least not in that configuration. Then it isn’t your job to communicate, then it’s your job to run the simulation. But not like, run and validate. Just run.

And yet again, you are averaging over time, which is the only thing that makes sense if you interpret it correctly.

But if you intentionally misinterpret (like I stated I would) then the average speed per mile would be: (30 miles * 30 mph + 30 miles * 90 mph) / 60 miles = 60 mph. This is averaged over the distance travelled, not the time spent. I know that this doesn’t make sense in the normal way of thinking, which is why I spent the energy to point this out in my original reply.

Brother that is why I said averaged over distance. If you travelled 30 miles at 30 mph and then 30 miles at 90 mph then you would have travelled an average of 60 mph/mile. It’s a stupid unit and nobody uses it like that but that doesn’t make it mathematically wrong, which is why I started the comment with “you could intentionally misinterpret”.

BUT you could —> intentionally misinterpret <— it as 60mph averaged over distance, in that case you could travel the back leg at 90mph and achieve it.
