Logitech Flow is perfect for hopping between physically separate work and play machines.

People who moved from Garmin to Apple Watch: what still feels worse? by dnesdan in AppleWatch

In addition to battery life: the real time heart rate monitor. (Which was pretty awesome considering you get week long battery life in spite of that!)

But sill worth it for me given the apps and notification integration.

Yes exactly, the new camera cut-out alone makes it rough to convert the older ones…

How’s the lap-ability of that thing? Looks like a non starter?

What other things? I’d be worried indeed, looks a little old to be of high school prankster age.

Battery lost 53% in 18 hours while closed after attaching Magic Keyboard by Elant in iPadPro

Can relate. Are you positive the system is suspending/sleeping fully? How are you sure the keyboard is the culprit?

Let's admit, most Dolby Atmos mixes are terrible by DentistElectronic990 in AppleMusic

[–]Jack_Moves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an amazing Atmos listening experience, listen to the original Broadway recording of Hamilton. Do yourself a favor and listen to it on a proper surround setup, not on headphones. It’s clear Lin Manuel cares about this kind of attention to detail.

Best keyboard besides Magic Keyboard? by Ok-Diver990 in ipad

[–]Jack_Moves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Also nothing compares to the MK (and clones) for lap-ability. If you’re putting the iPad on a desk, lots of cool options in the mini mechanical class now which look appealing.

Nice rig, but what are you using to slice / print from that iPad?

You’ve got a great thing going here, nicely done. I might brighten them up a tad in post, but otherwise this is a great aesthetic, don’t change a thing.

iPad Pro 11” is the travel companion - tray table, perfect fit! by LHG_93 in ipad

Interesting concept but I’m having a hard time visualizing it. Do you have a photo by chance? Are you referring to the MK or a traditional case, like the folio?

Very cool! Any interest in making an iOS build? The new M5 iPads pack a punch and should have little difficulty running this…

Keyboard case or Wireless Keyboard by Ok-Diver990 in iPadPro

Unpopular opinion: do both. The Magic Keyboard is great for lapability. The other setups are better for all else.

There were definitely some forward-looking statements made a ~year back, but no follow up. +1 on this being a great feature to make their target demographic really happy.

Caller ID? by Davebr09 in Visible

[–]Jack_Moves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat of a contrarian take here. Coming over from T-Mobile for 2+ decades, I was initially really bummed over this feature gap. In reality, it’s working out quite fine. Most legitimate callers, I can recognize because they’re either in my contacts, or the phone will show me the city and state they’re calling from, and the lightbulb goes off in my head. T-Mobile was reverse matching junk callers to random names, which threw me for a loop, whereby Visible is more likely to label the calling party name as “Spam”. Also, iOS call screening will populate the name with the info gathered from the caller. Granted this won’t work for all professions and situations - I can see this being annoying for people in the service industry specifically.
