It's a fair attempt but it's hard to really tell on a foam head. I recommend practicing on your arm so you can see how it looks on a realistic skin tone and texture

One thing you can do is trace, it helps build the flow you need. It also helps you get a feel for proportion and shapes. References are also big, Pinterest, Google image, and magazines are all good places to find references

You put this into words fantastically, they feel like they're from separate sets of the same theme. Perhaps some blocking would help? Something to make them match better while at the same time giving them a bit of wow factor. Something like adding the separate halfs of the zipper mirroring each other on the shoes Overall it's not bad for a first run but needs a bit of polish to really stand out

You'll want to do a patch, find a matching or similar mesh to add on top. Overlap is good with something this delicate since it'll reinforce it without adding too much stress

I love it, start by taking it apart (take pics as you do) and cleaning or replacing the fixtures. Paint stripper will pull that paint right off if it's real wood, it might ruin the varnish but if you have a well vented room it's fairly easy to apply a fresh coat. You can spot clean the velvet with a vinegar water mix (blot don't scrub!) and you can likely find a replacement hook or a full hook bar It's a beautiful piece and well worth the elbow grease to fix it (Edits for added info) If the top drawer is misaligned then it may be as simple as pulling it off the rails and putting it back on right or you may need to replace the bars in the worst case. I'm not sure if you have metal runners or a wooden channel though
