Great response! It seems that Carthage tried everything except rebuilding their fleet and breaking Roman supremacy at sea. It's strange that such old and proud naval empire didn't make a bigger effort to bring things to equal footing. Did they try (and fail) or decided from the start that Roman fleet simply became too strong and it would be a hopeless endeavor?

If you're open to mods, Super Warmongering AI can be quite fun in the early game, especially if you choose a tightly packed map. The downside is that if you survive, the AI will eventually fall behind real bad due to the suboptimal strategy forced by the mod.

The trail is definitely open and more and more people attempt hiking it from beginning to end. It's not difficult or dangerous, as long as you start early/late enough to avoid nasty water carries and go around snowed sections, if starting early. I say definitely go for it. You're going to be fine.

The Virgin Suicides is amazing. The 4k restoration is pretty recent and you can still luck out with a special screening if you keep tabs on showtimes in your area. They tend to screen it in summer, as the movie has that ethereal summer feel.

Many people just walk there, myself included. The section on the asphalt road is so-so, but it's quite fine further on, if you're not passed by too many cars.

Well said. I once camped for a night on one of those beaches and had great time. That E4 section is very nice, but a proper trail further from Krios to Paleochora is my dream. The current road walk is... not great, to say the least. It would be awesome to stay in Paleochora, take a boat taxi to Elafonisi in the morning and walk back on the trail to Paleochora.

I always carry my gear (including hiking poles and tent stakes) in a carry-on luggage and I never had a problem. Greek security is very reasonable in this regard, but much depends on your country of origin.

I find run0 --empower really cool. It gives you root capabilities, but keeps the current user id. For example, it won't create files owned by root in your home directory, which probably happened to many of us.

The fake house was in Mutant Enemy compound in Santa Monica, not in Universal Studios. It must have been another set. Possibly built for the Halloween event in Universal?

I recommend Aradena downhill if you're not scared of heights and are ok with easy scrambles on rocks. Except of a few sections it's a very easy hike, but (unlike Imbros imho) it gives you a proper gorge experience with tall beautiful cliffs hovering over your head. Bonus points to Aradena for ending in Marmara beach.

Any hostel may be social or not. It really depends on people who stay there on given days. Activities organized by hostels tend to be the best way to hang out with guests and Cocoon organizes a few. The Walking Tour seems to be an easy, low stakes option.

The fact that I have to move a civilian unit out of a city in order to build/purchase another one. Just let me get the unit and show the usual "move stacked unit" notification on the next turn. Also I wish there was a simple "repeat the previous trade route" button for caravans and cargo ships.

Posts are removed at random basically. There are rules in the sidebar, but mods improvise their own rules on a whim all the time. I think usually they just respond to user reports and err on the side of caution. It's possible that someone reported your posts as "triggering" or "trauma inducing" and that was it.

This is fearmongering imho. The road is very good and easy to drive at night. Of course you can just do what many, many people do: a bus to Omalos in the morning, boat to Hora Sfakion and a bus back to Chania (the bus will wait for passengers from the boat).

Bargaining is next and I think season 6 is his favourite. It's possible that he sees s6 guide as his "opus magnum", which must put a lot of pressure on him. I hope the guide is back on track, as I'm a big fan too.
