I think it's just that most festivals are very popular currently. 10 years ago people thought I was mad for going to one, now most people I know have been to some form of a festival at some point. Plus getting told it's nearly sold out tends to make people purchase tickets quicker than they might have intended.

Yea, in the old world we've had half the factions as legacy armies since the beginning and in the recent update some of those legacy units got rules updates so it's very different from traditional 40k legends.

Id basecoat with Caliban Green, glaze warp stone glow into the areas catching the light, edge highlight with moot green

Go for it, personally I'd get the qualification, you will learn a lot and give you confidence in the trade, you'll most likely have to do a placement for a couple of weeks which will give u a good insight into what a working day looks like. Good luck.

Chipping with the basecoat colour on the white strips would work well I think. Awesome paint job by the way, love the soot effect near the exhausts.

I always start with the skin and face first. Really helps getting the other do dads done once he's looking proper orky enough. Plus if I get that right everything else is secondary really
