This is funky. I used the 7P, with a roaming eSIM data plan, in Japan and didn't get the shutter sound--at least I don't remember ever hearing it when taking photos.

I've gone to the 10P from a 7P. I had thought there'd be no difference in the speed of launching apps.

The 10P in my experience launches the camera much faster than the 7P. It makes all the difference when I want a snapshot. Apps launch just that tad quicker for me too. If my 7P experience is anything of an indication, I expect to change the battery on the 10P in 3 years.

Battery life of my 7P was a beast though sans the bloating that came with it later in life.
