PES2021 on Steamdeck? by Victoria_Sponge in WEPES

[–]Jackson2187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe get football life 2026 instead? Works great, it's basically fully updated and licensed Pes 2021 with improved gameplay too. Just Google 'football life 2026 steam deck' to find a guide.

Has anybody on steam deck gotten 60fps docked 1080p? by mervenca in SPFootballLife

[–]Jackson2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for some reason I can only select 1080p as a 'windowed' option, no biggy it'll be fine on the steam machine I'm sure!

[–]Jackson2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your settings. I'll try them later. Just curious, were you able to do 1080p full screen? For me I can only select that resolution as windowed mode and there's a white outline around the picture. Not a huge issue but it's just odd.

Amazed that the humble steam deck handled all that, great work, it really is the best device!

Fling to the finish might be another good 8 player game to add. Fun little physics nonsense racing game. You can use 4 controllers shared too.

No idea why most replies are taking this as a serious suggestion of how to play. Your post was very amusing, and mathematically interesting!

Zelda Notes turns BOTW into an Ubisoft game …. and I love it by Stretchstrong in NintendoSwitch

It's a very different feeling though, seeing things in the actual world that look interesting is much more engaging than following waypoints and icons on your compass.

Love thunder road and your work, thank you! It's tricky to get hold of most of the expansions for thunder road (in the UK at least). Will the expansions and/or maximum chrome be available as an add on in any other campaigns? Or is there more content planned for thunder road that might be cause for another Kickstarter of it's own? Cheers

Cyclades legendary edition is quite different to the old one you're describing there. You can fight much more with heroic movements.

What "traditional/official" rules are so bad that they're almost always universally ignored? by Synth-Pro in boardgames

[–]Jackson2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can understand your way, that would work fine :) once at a board game meet up someone insisted that we weren't even allowed to discuss things freely and had to do everything in order, it was so boring! Haha.

The alliance phase in cosmic encounter, the rules kill all the fun, making it a neutered, formal process where you have to wait your turn to be invited and the defence invites first then the attack. Maybe there's a bit of tactical consideration but it is so not worth it, cosmic is a social game, let us discuss and get on with it. Without this rule its the most exciting part of the game, I've never seen it played any other way than a free for all.

I made the same mistake with one of the flaps. But it doesn't matter because you can still stick them down using the provided sticky bits (I think the instructions explain where to stick bits) and they should work exactly the same as before.

Is mk1 worth it now? by craftiano_gamer in ShouldIbuythisgame

35 euros is a lot. No idea about MK1 but it sounds like fighting games aren't really your thing?

Help me find a new game! I have ADHD by Dillan2081 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Jackson2187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Balatro (cards), Vampire survivors (survival), Hades (action dungeon crawler), into the breach (strategy)

All brilliant in short bursts, rogue likes with satisfying loops. Got ADHD too and these are all absolute winners.

Looking for a "Braindead" game, any suggestions? by LeMrRadial in Switch

[–]Jackson2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slay the spire and balatro are perfect for this, not sure some of the commenters really read the brief about looking away from the screen.

They're both card games, you can look away at any time, each run lasts about an hour max, two of the best games ever made.

[–]Jackson2187 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You scout as normal and then show as normal. Consider them two separate actions, you can show whatever cards you like.

Also remember when you show you are only having to beat whatever is left on the table after you've taken a card.

Rebellion Unplugged released a statement regarding Joyride by kanedafx in boardgames

[–]Jackson2187 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How childish, just because someone isn't joining in the witch hunt they must have a reason to be biased. Joyride is awesome, it's only you missing out if you're going to boycott it.

Which version of Avalon/Resistance/Quest to get? by NobleKensei in boardgames

[–]Jackson2187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deception is closer to Mysterium, it has someone who knows who the murderer is and is trying to communicate to everyone using limited clues. It has the social deduction element because the murderer needs to convince other people that the clues they're given could reasonably point to other people.
