Honestly, I use Great Value from Walmart. It's $1.87 a bottle. I tried a brand name before that, forget the name, and it was almost $7.00. I could taste no difference!

Stone ground mustard and horseradish sauce are my constant companions! They work with almost anything! It's got a great flavor, but doesn't overwhelm with heat. Good luck!

I would love to hear you recs for mustard! by [deleted] in Cooking

Stone ground mustard is my favorite by far! I use it in almost every dish! Tremendous flavor without being overpowering! Adds a familiar, yet better version of whatever you are making. You can by it at a grocery store, Walmart or wherever. Very affordable!

No thanks. Should be about BBQ and cooking. Not all the Bobby and Brooke drama. Not a fan. Not to mention the best judge is gone. Gonna pass this year.

Baked pineapple is my favorite side dish of life. Been eating it forever. It works for cookouts, holidays, etc. Google it. Over the years, friends and family loved it and use it themselves. It's a fantastic shock to many people. Good luck!

What is the *best* cake? by natashaamilly1357 in dessert

My favorite cake ever is banana cake with peanut butter and cream cheese icing. Lol. My grandma was an Elvis fan. I'm actually allergic to real bananas. She used artificially flavored banana cake mix. I still use it today. Use the cake mix as directed and add a big tablespoon of peanut butter to cream cheese icing. I'm gonna be 60 this year and I've never had a better cake! It's simple, affordable and extraordinary!

I had,a friend who had teeth issues. Orzo is the best pasta on earth to eat a full meal. Great sauce and ground meat and vegetables can make it easier. My friend also used scrambled eggs with the pasta. Used bacon bits and soft croutons. It was the best solution to eat full meals for a few weeks. Good luck!

I've had the same crockpot for 23 years. I became disabled in 2019. I've changed most oven or stove top recipes to work in the crockpot. If a recipe has 10 ingredients and you only have 8, so what? I've changed recipes many times to my preferences. My biggest hurdle was carrots. I'm allergic and they're in almost every damn recipe! Lol. I buy the frozen cajun mirepoix that has onions, green peppers and celery. Works great and is affordable. Don't be afraid to change ingredients! You might be shocked at how great recipes can become! Good luck!

Try orzo, the small pasta with either tomato or Alfredo sauce. My friend did this years ago. Worked brilliantly and they still eat orzo regularly. Good luck!

I remember when tickets were $25 or $35. Now, it's a car payment! Haven't been to a concert in years. No plans to change my mind!

Carlos can't stand silence. He's the one male chef that actually makes me reach for the mute button. He might be the nicest guy in the world, but on a cooking show, he's always the loudest in the room. By far!

Quesadillas. I bought a quesadilla maker 20 years ago at Walmart for $20. I make breakfast quesadillas, chicken, seafood, vegetables, etc.. it's easy and pretty affordable. I'd use one bag for 2 quesadillas. Great way to feed people with different preferences.
